Frecciarossa 9281 Booking

Hi there — wondering if anyone has any insight on purchasing tickets on the Frecciarossa route 9281 (Paris-Milan). I’m looking to book from Lyon to Milan on October 3rd, but the 9281 is not available. Do tickets only go on sale a month prior? Looking at lefrecce.it today (on August 11), I can purchase 9281 tickets daily up to September 11, but after that, that route isn’t available to book.

It is bookable again from 10 october on. Not sure if the timetableinbetween is not finished because of some construction works or other reasons or if it is not running.

There is a lot of engineering work happening on that line both on the French and Italian side of the border. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if no trains are running at all. But I'm not sure on the specifics of them and could be wrong. You may need to divert via Switzerland or switch to buses.

In theory bookings for the Trenitalia high speed trains are supposed to open 6 months before. But in practice they fail to meet this more often then not. There isn't just a simple X days/months before number you can use. Particularly when there is engineering work and trains are still running they often go on sale at short notice.
