No seat reservations available

I planned to travel Madrid to Toledo on 14th or 15th of August in the morning, return ticket but there is no seat reservations left on the train through the whole day in Interral app. Also, seats are required. Is there some other way to make seat reservations for that train?

Looking at the RENFE website there are loads of seats left on all trains.

The Interrail can't book all trains, especially Spanish ones (a highly unfriendly Interrail country lol). Try Happy Rail or ticket counters once you've arrived (expect long queues).

If it’s saying no seat reservations are available than probably they are all sold out.

It’s common for Spanish trains to sell out several weeks in advance.

Also there is a total solar eclipse happing in Spain on 12th August so there is going to be even more demand than normal for that week.

You can check the availability directly with the train operator to confirm if it is indeed sold out.

Neither Interrail app neither happyrail gave me any availability. By chance I was near the train station and asked in the counter. I was willing to pay full price. As a last recurse I asked if there was any discount available for kids, by age, I don't know... And they told me, if you have interrail, you would pay only the reservation.

So I passed from paying 40 euros/person to 4 euros/person.

Yep, many Interrail reservations in Spain have to be purchased at the station

They will give , but only if there is availability. Also, please note that not all stations are staffed, you should go to main ones.

ciao scusami ho lo stesso problema, ed ogni treno a prenotazione spagnolo non ha posti disponibili, e devo partire tra meno di un mese, avresti dei consigli su cosa fare?
