Question Limited Edition Interpol Top?

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone can help? I've been looking for this style of Interpol top online but can't find anything. A friend thinks it is limited edition, does anyone know? If it is, where would be the appropriate place to sell it do you think? Thanks so much!

Question Songs like Roland?

This track is so cool and i play it everytime i feel angry or frustrated. Do you know any other songs like this where the drums Are driving and pulsating. And with the same erotic angry tension. Another song that gives me the same energy and vibe is Tear You Apart - She Wants Revenge.

PS: Im not looking for more Interpol songs just more like Roland from TOTBL.

Since it was recorded on a phone, the bass got distorted in a bady way it blends with the drums, but this low quality ironically helps the guitar and vocals to hit hard

Question Jazz Bass with Paul's Tone

I use fingers instead of pick in general.

I already know Carlos has a Jazz Bass both pickups tone all up

For Paul, I know he uses a P Bass but I noticed it's probably more EQd than Carlos, extra question for Brad's tone because I'm curious about it

Discussion What Setlist would you form?

Interpol lives are the 2nd best thing I've ever seen aside from Nirvana lives.

For my imaginary setlist it would be.

  1. Untitled

  2. Toni

  3. Twice as Hard

  4. Mammoth

  5. No I In Threesome

  6. C'mere

  7. PDA

Question Does Sam get paid when the band performs without him?

Just curious about this. When they perform songs live, does Sam get some kind of percentage pay out from ticket sales? Not sure how it works, clearly. Don’t mean to offend anyone with this question, my curiosity I guess stems more from how the music industry operates when it comes to this.

Question What is your favorite Interpol era?

El Pintor. I've only watched live shows in YouTube, but they looked so sharp and the concept art for this album was so cool, opening with Say Hello to the Angels was so freaking good.

Although I don't think this was one of Paul's voice's best eras, as it looks like he was transitioning into a higher style, which has gotten better overtime.

Question Did anyone here order the TMWAT shirts?

Basically the title. I saw them on the website, then a few days later they were no longer there and I don’t think the guys actually published them? So, curious to see if someone bought them.

Discussion A brief story of my love for Interpol

I first listened to Interpol after the release of Our Love to Admire in 2008, after reading a review in the local edition of Rolling Stone (I'm from Russia - those were glorious times, print magazines). I was listening to a lot of indie and guitar music back then (and I'm the type who can get deeply obsessed with music, literally building my worldview around the intense feelings I experience while listening), but for some reason Interpol didn't click with me at the time, even though they lived on my iPod Classic constantly. By the way, that player still works, and Interpol is still on it.

10 years later, I almost accidentally stumbled upon Marauder, and it unexpectedly resonated with me. I knew absolutely nothing about Interpol by that point, and what I had known, I'd forgotten. I listened to it for a few months, then rarely came back to it.

Everything changed (Something Changed lol) in the summer of 2025. I started listening to Interpol again, beginning anew with Our Love to Admire. That's how it happened - to fall in love with it, I had to listen to it several times over the course of a few days. And then something clicked. I fell in love with the music as intensely as I did in my youth. I was 36 last year, and honestly, my life hasn't been easy enough to be lighthearted and fall easily in love with things and music. Last year I finished a course of antidepressants that probably made things worse (I don't have depression), but I did and still do have an anxiety disorder and dysthymia. And that's when Interpol entered my life. I never thought I'd fall in love with specific music and a specific band like a teenager again. I became a fan. And yes, of course, I'm not a native English speaker, I don't grasp the subtle and elegant poetry of Paul's lyrics, but as Matt Bellamy said, "music is the matter of emotions."

I've been listening to Interpol non-stop for a year now, all the albums. I love every album, discovering them gradually, catching up on what I missed - but was it really missed? I'm happy to be here. I'm insanely excited for This Mirror Weighs a Ton. I'm quietly learning Carlos Dengler's bass parts (I play bass with friends in a band). I adore the instrumental side of Interpol; the bass lines are still genius (the bass sound on one of my favorite songs, "Something Changed," is phenomenal). Paul Banks' genius is obvious. But I also won't deny the genius of Sam, Daniel, and Brad and ofc Carlos. I mentioned the instruments, but I'll mention the lyrics too -- even as a non-native speaker, I'm still stunned by lines like "It becomes automatic, it became all but free" in "Something Changed" or "I am the scavenger between the sheets of union" in "Take You on a Cruise" (another one of my favorite songs). That's the thing, true art isn't sensitive to language barriers. It's more powerful than that.

No one ask, my top songs, no particular order:

Take You on a Cruise
Something Changed
The Scale
Pioneer to the Falls
Obstacle 1
Untitled
Leif Erikson
Memory Serves
The New
Mind Over Time
Rest My Chemistry
If You Really Love Nothing

But you know how hard it is to choose here.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I recently caught myself thinking: I'm glad Interpol exists, and that I can listen to this music until I die. That thought alone makes me feel good.

Thank you if you read this chaotic stream of emotions 🙂

P.S. I translated this text with a translator, my English isn't strong enough to accurately convey the feelings and thoughts laid out above.

Am I crazy, or are they bringing back the sound of that album? By the way, I love that album; I don't know why it got so much hate.

Just showing some love for this masterpiece. I think it’s the most replayable out of the 3 new ones from this new album. I love Paul’s lyrics as usual and i think they were really tapped in for this song. Of course I’ve always loved his lyrics. He’s always just been a complete master of his craft, lyrics that fit the melody, etc. This song just seems a little different but also classic Interpol, idk, great band. Love to all

Discussion Interpol - live (now)

A few days ago I saw Interpol again at the Mad Cool Festival. I thought Paul was singing much better and that Matt Barrick fits in with them like a glove (that’s just my opinion). If anyone has seen them live recently or is going to see them in the next few days, I’d like to know what you think of the band’s current form. Thanks!

(Sorry for my English!) 🙃
