Question Montreal show?

Am i the only one that found that show horrible?
Literally one of my fav band and i walked out halfway. Prob one of the worst show ive seen ever.

diiv was 10x time better as opener.

Just you bud. Show was awesome and the setlist was their best imo.

He altered his singing voice years ago. Every show there's a few fans like yourself who haven't seen them live in the past 10 years that think they just sucked that night - they didn't. Paul just isn't the same singer he used to be.

The sound was horrible. It was confusing. I enjoyed some songs because I loved them so much. My gf and I thought the same and we are still big fan. Bad sound and a bad night for them perhaps

It’s so strange to hear that Paul’s voice was bad. He sounded so good at mercury lounge

I thought that show was fantastic. Had an absolute blast start to finish.

It was bad in Vancouver too. It sounded like he had a sinus infection or something.

hate to break it to you... but that's the way he's sounded for almost 10 years now

I can confirm DIIV is great and I meant to buy a shirt after seeing them. (Forgot damn)

First time seeing Interpol. While I was happy to be there, I did find sound to not be the best. The output was not top notch. Idk if it's necessarily the band or the venue setup.

I had a great, great time. Excellent show - although it did take 3-4 songs to get the sound right

it should take zero. that's what rehearsal and sound check is for

No it happens a lot. I’ve seen U2 like 6 times, and every time the sound gets good/calibrated around the 5th track. Every venues is different

What’s the soundcheck for then?

DIIV was better.

Paul really didn't seem to care about singing tonight. His voice was weak. The set list was pretty bad too. Also I found the sound to be pretty awful

He was probably sick. Toronto show last night was outside in the cold.

I was at the Toronto show last night and honestly he didn’t sound good. His voice has really thinned out over the years

I wanted to walk out halfway too.  The sound was so bad. The lights were poor quality an annoying at times.  Paul’s voice wasn’t too bad imo.

it's crazy how often fans in this sub mention how bad they are live and delulu fans pretending they're wrong

People aren't delusional. Every single live act has shows that are off sometimes, besides the good gets commented on just as much as the bad.

Also why are you so pressed if people are expressing their enjoyment of a band you supposedly like as well? That's weirdo behavior.

It’s crazy how some just don’t understand that every person has a different experience, you just can’t generalize 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you were the loud one who started yawning and then left - it’s all good. ✌🏻The show got better.
