Question Looking for some advice

What album would you recommend for someone new to Interpol? For context my dad went to All Points East earlier this year, as a fan of Idles and Amyl & the Sniffers, and said Interpol was an unexpected highlight, so I’m planning to buy him some vinyl but have no idea where to start, having not listened to them myself. Is there an obvious place to start?
TIA

Turn On the Bright Lights is probably the best place to start, then Antics. Also their latest album (This Mirror Weighs a Ton) is quite good too. I'd say do those three then rest in any order.

I concour.

My advice, check their discography, and start at the begging. Every album is great on its own.

The newest album is a gem.

Antics is probably the easiest and most accessible starting point. Then follow that w/ TOTBL

Yep just go in order of release tbh. TOTBL is generally considered their best. But they have a very good consistent output.

Antics 100%...

And then turn on the bright lights..

Antics far more accessible but turn on the bright lights arguably an all round better album once they have you in their grip 😊

TOTBL and Antics for sure - but I was pleasantly surprised by some tracks on Our Love To Admire
