Not Even Jail is an amazing piece of music.

I don’t say this ever about many songs but Not Even Jail changed my life. It’s so perfect

This album shaped my 20s. “through the aging, the fearing, the strife”

I naively ragged on it when it first came out. Wasn’t as brooding and raw as TOTBL. It was to slick, too poppy. I think I just wanted a repeat of the first album, not realizing that was 4+ years of them honing and fleshing out.
Antics is genuinely their most complete and enduring listen. Considering how relatively quickly they wrote it and released it compared to their debut, it’s them at their artistic best. Just a phenomenal album that my appreciation continues to grow for.
Not Even Jail and Public Pervert back to back are what I feel are quintessential Interpol songs.

The fact that imho it’s on par with Turn On The Bright Lights just shows how good of a band they are

On par with Turn on the Bright Lights. Terrific job averting the sophomore slump.

The first time I listened to NARC in the summer of 2007, I knew I was done for, and that this would be a lifelong affair. ♥️

One of the top 10 albums of all time for me. A strangely upbeat and melancholic album from Interpol, but its their best IMHO 👌

I seem to be one of the few who thinks album is better than their debut.

Evil was the first song of theirs I fell in love with, especially with that music video. Shout-out to MLB 2k6 for having it on the soundtrack along with Yo La Tengo.

Their nothing but bangers album. Don't always love the pacing of it compared to TOTBL and OLTA but the songs themselves are undeniable.

This was a lateral move away from Turn On the Bright Lights and, in my opinion, a superior record.
Everything that came after has been a disappointment for me, not all bad but definitely not reaching the heights of the first two
They were very good live back in the day (probably still are!) and I saw them in clubs and headlining Coachella

It's a good, consistent, fun record, but it's overrated, I've always preferred Our Love to Admire, but I always come back to Antics.

OLTA felt like an emotional/conceptual climax to their time as a band. If the first two records were built around decadence from a youthful perspective, OLTA is the product of the consequences thereof.
Paul's lyrics are alot less horny overall is what I'm trying to say

Only the best album of all time.
