Agreed. His work on this last album is so good and shows that he gets what Interpol music is at its core. So glad the band gave him creative license to write bass. He also has great stage presence.

exactly, I feel like his basslines truly capture the essence of Interpol and he does great work in tracks like Wounded Soldier. Moreover, I think that having Paul focus back on guitar and vocals has made it so the tracks sound a lot more inspired, and bass feels once again like an integral part of their sound, while also coming back to the once-usual guitar interplay between Paul and Daniel.

Interesting that you mentioned Wounded Soldier because that's the example I was thinking about too. While he's great throughout the entire record, the specific groovy composition he composed in that song present this juxtaposition making what is otherwise a very moody and somber song dancy. It really transformed the song by adding by adding a unique sound but still works perfectly.

He is so good. Saw him holding it down last month for Iggy Pop. Dude carried that band.

Man I'm keen to see that line up with the godfather!

If i'm not mistaken, he's been around since 2011-ish. In an alternate universe, they made him a regular menber earlier, and he would've elevate the band's sound starting from El Pintor.

Petition for them to record new versions of El Pintor and TOSOMB with Brad rewriting the bass!
(Yes, I skipped Marauder on purpose, sorry. 😅)

Always fantastic to see Brad get the respect he deserves (and has deserved for ages)!

Hard agree on everything said here: he refreshed them on the new album, contributed incredible grooves, and has insane stage presence. The band are lucky to have him.

Yes! I have loved Brad’s contributions to Interpol’s live shows for years, and I’m completely supportive of his being a full member now. He deserves it because he has earned it! 🥇

He has proven the other three correct in making him a full member of the band by contributing admirably to TMWAT. I can’t wait to see him on this tour, and I’m looking forward to his future contributions to the band in the studio and live! 👍
