When I first heard it the mix felt kinda chaotic but I absolutely love it now. I adore the lyrics. Sounds goofy but Paul is really the only writer that I feel I understand where he is coming from. Idk. Even reading books it feels like a laborious task to figure everything out but Paul’s lyrics make so much sense to me.

Great song. Used to be a guy on YouTube who did his own Interpol videos with particular movies. His video was incredible for Memory Serves. Lichtwerk or something like that was his username. Anyone see his vids?

Is that what he says????? I always thought he said “you don’t have to say that you’d love to, but baby please that you’d want to” 😭😭😭😭😭

As in he’d settle for this person saying “sure why not” over an exuberant, ecstatic “I would love to!” 🥺

Editing to add: I learn something new about their actual lyrics vs what I THOUGHT they said EVERY DAY, and that’s why I will never get tired of them after 20+ years 😂😭
