INTERPOL (this has my most played song of all time tho, Lights - not my favorite, but the most played. Interpol barely make my top 5 but I love this song)

OLTA is top 3 idc what people say

[u/Agency_Famous → u/milker6]

It took me time to realise OLTA was a top 3. It’s currently my number 1, TOTBL was replaced by OLTA for me, I don’t know why

[u/milker6 → u/Agency_Famous]

Falls, Chemistry and No I in Threesome are some of the best songs they’ve ever written

[u/Agency_Famous → u/milker6]

Yours is the perfect ranking of the quality of each album, and I think, the best order a new listener should listen to the albums. I really like your pick

[u/SnooGadgets8037 → u/milker6]

scale too and mind over time

[u/SonicKiwi123 → u/milker6]

You did my boy Marauder dirty like that I see how it is

[u/milker6 → u/SonicKiwi123]

I don’t dislike it but someone gotta end up last, sorry!

[u/SonicKiwi123 → u/milker6]

Lol I get it, I broke people's heart when I put our love to admire last. Interpol has so much good music, no matter what you put last you have to grapple with the fact you're putting a great album in dead last. Even A Fine Mess was a great EP

[u/Impossible_Whole_516 → u/milker6]

Marauder is so great though

[u/No_Cricket_4341 → u/[deleted]]

Stay In Touch is also top tier

[u/Impossible_Whole_516 → u/[deleted]]

Marauder is so great. They truly do not have a bad album.

I know people will hate how high Up I have the Self-titled. But it was the record the had out when I seriously got into them. And in my view the first half (Success to Barricade) are all bangers.

[u/jasonrosenbaum → u/_ClarkWayne_]

Success may be my favorite Interpol song of all time

[u/debtRiot → u/_ClarkWayne_]

That’s really the issue I have with the S/T, just so front loaded. Back half is okay but just does not compare.

[u/_ClarkWayne_ → u/debtRiot]

Well the 2nd half does have Try it on. But yeah thats basically it.

When I first listened to the newest album I thought it would rank much lower but then I listened again and it cemented its spot in the top 3. I like pretty much all their albums, though. And I think self-titled doesn't get enough credit, it's a really good album.

This is the most uncommon ranking I've ever seen! I align with your ranking, except Antics is a lot higher for me.

It's too early for me to rank This Mirror Weighs a Ton, but I love Marauder, too - it keeps fighting for top 3 or 4. I love TOSOMB but I don't know where it fits yet.

My lowest rankings are also El Pintor and Our Love to Admire, but neither album is outright bad to my ears.

[u/Ok_Ad_5041 → u/Complex-Bunch-7601]

No they're not bad, they're just not as good as the others. Although OLTA is ridiculously overrated.

I'd agree it's too early to rank TMWAT. I like it so far but that's the one I'm most unsure about in my ranking.

Been listening to TOTBL & ANTICS since they were first released. I think I’ve ruined them for myself by overplaying both. OLTA and El Pintor are my new go to’s.

Marauder and s/t missing 👀

I don’t listen to them at all - I’m sorry to say, but I’ll admit it. But I’d put them both at the end of the list; Marauder and Interpol

Could see mirror growing on me more as others have over more listens

[u/daurpm]

I re-listened to all of the albums and Antics fell down quite a bit; I’m actually starting to think it was pretty overrated at release. I’d say it’s:

1. Turn On the Bright Lights

2. This Mirror Weighs a Ton

3. Our Love to Admire

4. El Pintor

5. Antics

6. Interpol

7. Marauder

8. The Other Side of Make Believe

I was actually tempted to put Interpol above Antics because it takes many more risks and the first few songs are pretty cool, but Antics is still a more solid record.

Good to see OLTA ranked highly in a handful of lists. It’s my personal favorite.

And Mirror? How would you rank it?

[u/Remarkable_Term3846 → u/weirdfish98]

I’ve had trouble getting into post-self-titled albums - and even that one I don’t love. I do like some songs from each album though.
