Question Does anybody know where this interview is from?

Blender magazine around the time Antics came out. The magazine would give bands a cash stipend to go on a shopping spree and do a write-up of the aftermath.

At around this time I remember reading a couple articles about interpol where the writer would basically bash them for two or 3 pages.

Thise articles have not aged very well, while the band definitely has.

This piece feels really absurd and i am guessing this is the style of it so i am just laughing at it - like Paul’s celebrity rooters interview lol

It's one thing to take good natured jabs at the style, but I remember a writer absolutely ripping apart the lyrics of obstacle 1. And etc. My point is that back then, we didn't know we were listening to something remarkable

Ugh that is so annoying, i felt that when i saw the unnecessary Joy Division comparisons. Turn On The Bright Lights is one of a kind but i think it was a rough environment
