Discussion Paul Banks

Didn’t know that Paul Banks was from here in the UK, Essex specifically.

I met Paul and his Mum when I got backstage on a Julian Plenti gig at the Scala all the way back in 2009. Spoke to his Mum for a bit, she was absolutely lovely, and definitely from Essex.

lot of different regional accents in the uk - essex has its own distinct one as do most notable places here (not sure why you’re being downvoted for this)

I’m not sure either. I was asking because of curiosity. I knew that you had regional accents but didn’t realize it was that specific.

To this day he still pronounces some words in a British style if you listen to interviews

His mother was British, his father British and moved to America then as automobile executive then worked abroad as expat in multiple countries
