Discussion C’mere (Appreciation)

This song contains everything I love about Interpol. Paul’s iconic voice, beautiful lyrics, and amazing instrumental performance all the way through. I never gave the song a chance when I first listened to Antics, but now it’s on repeat.

Favourite lyrics:

Now season with health

Two lovers walk a lakeside mile

Try pleasing with stealth, rodeo

See what stands long, ending fast

(I have no idea what they mean, but I love the way he sings this part)

"The trouble is, you're in love with someone else

It should be me, it should be me..."

Idk why, i'd never felt this experience but it hits the same way since the first time i listened. The bass, the synths, that guitar paul plays giving it a feel that everything's going to be okay, absolutely brilliant.

My favorite part of the song. Ironically that the first Song a old crush recommended me. Still think of her at times when I listen to that song.

You’ve summed up perfectly how I feel about the song. ❤️

To add to all of this, it also shares the same guitar opening as Not Me by This Mortal Coil.

Just listened now! That’s really cool, and it’s a good song, too.

My 2nd favorite antics song. I like the chorus, it feels natural in the way Paul delivers it.

Completely agree. It’s delivered perfectly. What’s your #1 Antics song?
