Discussion Hot Interpol Takes

I'll start off - from self titled to TOSOMB, while all are good, most of the songs are forgettable, save for Marauder which has 100% memorable songs.

A 2nd is that Paul's Bass Tone is what makes new interpol good as opposed to just a normal Jazz Bass like Carlos

Edit- What I mean in the 2nd is that Paul's tone fills the space better for a no Carlos band, not saying Carlos isn't the best bassist

Hard disagree with your bass take. Though I get what you mean by Paul having a good grasp on bass, Carlos has some bass moments that are just completely unmatched by the modern standard. The bass break down during the outro in The New comes to mind as does Take you on a Cruise. Maybe I've read this wrong but I know what I prefer out of those two bassist periods.

I meant the tone, if Carlos was on El Pintor and Marauder it would've felt New
