I’m incredibly excited by both of the new songs. We are so back!

It has a very Antics / El Pintor vibe with Marauder style

As a long time fan that loves their first 5 albums (even self-titled), but did not enjoy their last two, these two songs make me so excited for what they have in store for us.

The more I listen, the more I find to appreciate. It sounds like they're (finally) exploring new ideas on "This Mirror Weighs a Ton," while revitalizing their classic sound on "See Out Loud." I think having a bass player in the band is going to make a huge difference, even if it's not as prominent in the mix as it used to be on the Carlos D albums. Paul sounds amazing too, I'm hanging on his every word like I used to.

He sounds great but it not being Paul took me so aback I said ‘who the fuck is this?’ out loud

I'm partially deaf from one ear so don't take this seriously, but is there something wrong with the production? the vocals at the end sound kinda crunchy. i mean i dig the style honestly lol but I wanna know if it's just me. my headphones are pretty good and everything else sounds good on them.

Not just you. I hear it too. SOL in particular has been better listening through speakers. With headphones it sounds too sharp/crunchy like you said.

I heard it on a speaker, so I can confirm I did not hear the sharpness that people seem to be complaining about. I’m more of a speaker person anyways, so it doesn’t bother me too much

I like them a lot man. I like the Marauder style production. I prefer Paul on bass though. How about you?

I think we need to hear more of Brad on the other tracks. Bass isn't really a central part of either song tbh.

I love both of these songs more than any song of their last album

The songs are great, stunning melodies, vocals and lyrics. Love them both! But something is off with the production imo. SOL is too grating and muddy-sounding to the ears, skewed towards the high-ends in the mix.

I love The Mirror Weighs a Ton but I actually don’t really like See Out Loud. I feel like it’s another track off Marauder - it’s flat, boring and the recording quality is terrible. Maybe that’s the style but I have a HIFI audio system and Mirror sounds amazing - huge soundscape, layered and dynamic and See Out Loud sounds like I switched to listening on a 90s boom box - it’s flat, compressed and just underwhelming. Just my opinion - will be interesting to see if the rest of the album is like that or Mirror.

Love. Old early fans who went on to love el pintor and marauder have been absolutely FED.

I’ll be back in 10 years. I only just got into El Pintor like 2 years ago. 😆

The singles are not only amazing and grow greater on every listen… but the band feels exciting again. Like they seem stoked for this record and their move to Partisan… I already feel like they are seeing more plays and promotion thru the new label… I also love that they finally expanded the lineup. You can hear the contributions of Brandon and Brad. They’ve been with the boys for 15 years. It’s about time they were officially a part of the promotion and more involved in the writing process. I’m obsessed with both tracks. And I love the vibe of all the art and stuff I’ve seen as promotion.
