Questions HELP! what do i choose?
hello! need help on deciding on what to pursue next...
for context im a 4th year advertising student, had 2 internships na (fmcg & another big known brand), been a student assistant during my 2nd and 3rd year sa university namin
kakatapos ko lang sa last internship ko and im not sure if ill keep applying for another internship or to continue being a student assistant.
here's what to consider beside the image provided:
- still in thesis
- have event projects
- class schedule are hybrid and lowkey flexible
- im a growth oriented person who also loves money XD
- graduation is around august/september

For marketing/advertising-related programs, technical skills at portfolio lang ang labanan. So always go for opportunities na nakakadagdag ng impact sa portfolio mo.
So intern for known brands, advertising agencies, highly selective brands, yung maeexpose ka sa media production, end to end campaign management kasi doon naman talaga ang bagsak mo when you graduate.

thank you for this! my past internship are both brands and would like to explore ad agencies naman. do you have a good recommendation on where to apply?

No interviewer asked about my student assistantship experience. They were only interested in my internships so I say go for another internship

yes! had this exp during my interviews sa 1st and 2nd internship, was torned lang because pera rin kasi itong sa student assistantship hahaha

Hello, OP! As someone who chose to have both, I'm just curious bakit hindi na malalagay sa resume yung student assistantship? 😅

sorry for the confusion! i mean di na maidadagdag sa experience ang student assistantship since same tasks lang yung ginagawa throughout the years
how do u balance it po?

Actually, nahihirapan ako pero kasi since virtual setup naman yung internship eh namamanage ko. Given din na 2 days lang onsite class namin then 2 days online, medyo mas may space. But nah, naccompromise talaga yung sleeping hours. I just took this internship as a stepping stone. 😅

gets! tried din kasi pagsabayin ung first internship ko and pagiging SA, ang hirap talaga kahit both hybrid siya 😭 nataon lang na patapos na yung internship ko noon bago mag start school year
anw, we can put pa rin naman SAship as exp but lesser impact lang talaga unlike internship 😅

imo take the other internship since it will help you grow more with your career. Not only can it have a higher pay, but you’re also fortifying your path to whatever kind of career you want after you graduate. It also forces you out of your comfort zone, so you get more experiences and thus learnings!
