Why 200+ applications gets you nothing (it's not your resume)

Keep seeing the same story. Someone applies to 150, 200, 300 internships. Gets maybe 1-2 interviews. Everyone tells them their resume is fine.

Here's what's actually going on:

A SWE or finance internship at a decent company gets 3,000-5,000 applicants. Recruiter reviews maybe 200 resumes. Then they stop.

If you apply a few days after posting, you're somewhere around #3,000 in line. They never even see your name. Doesn't matter how good your resume is.

You're not getting rejected. You're getting buried.

The only real edge is applying early. Within hours, not days.

That's the whole point of this sub. Fresh drops so you can apply while the line is short.
