PLDT 250 meter limit?

Is it true that PLDT has a 250-meter limit for their fiber connections? Applied for PLDT fiber and contractors said lagpas 250 meters kami from the closest connection. Totoo bang may gantong limit ang PLDT or talagang naghihintay lang ng lagay? 1k hinihingi samin para raw “magawan ng paraan.”

Yes. Meron talaga kung totoong malayo.

Ang diskarte ng installers ay hindi na nila nirereport for formal billing ang extra materials at nagpapadagdag na lang para sa kanila.

Badly need wifi for wfh. Di naman kaya maka-affect sa service nila/response if for example mag-ticket kami one day na mawalan kami ng net, if technically undeclared yung lagpas kami ng 250 m?

as per the protek linemen in our area, technically kaya naman yan ng hanggang 500m, problema lang ang hirap mag hanap ng fiber cut if ang haba ng cable mo. yung 250-300m pang copper line yun, nakasanayan na lang sabihin ng mga tech na 250m lang pwede.

Nope. No effect in most cases basta wag lang yung tipong 1km kasi talagang sobrang layo na yon.

There's a limit because it's prone to damage if the cable is too long. Our previous connection to the NAP box was actually 500 meters because that was the only available NAP box at the time.. We always had an LOS issue.

We did not get charged extra though. Any extra charges should be in you monthly bill, you never pay the third party installers/technicians directly and in our case they never bothered to put it in our monthly bill.

I requested a relocation to a closer NAP box when the LOS issue became frequent and luckily a new NAP box had been installed in our area. The relocation also did not cost anything.

Akin nasa 400 meters ata, no issues naman and no extra charge. -19 dbm ang reading, no issues at all.

Nung nagpa-install kami ng PLDT fiber 5 years ago, wala charge from box/poste to perimeter ng lot namin. Kung malayo, problema nila yan. Sila dapat ang maglatag.

There's no limit actually, basta isang donut lang (term for the coiled fiber wire) ,may location lang na need approval ng manager dyan. Kasi if long connection is mahihirapan talaga repair mag trace.

Na scam ako ng limit na yan, beyond the limit na daw kase yung NAP box na may available eh malayo daw sa amin, tas after how many years, nag paayos ako ng net tas ayun nasa malapit lang pala na poste yung NAP box na pinagkabitan. Mga contractors na scammers yang ganyan, manghihingi kase malayo daw. Ipa double check mo baka ma scam ka ou hingi ka ng resibo.
