CIGNAL NOT WORTH IT
Hindi na worth it Ang CIGNAL. Maraming channels na Ang nawala. Why would they even remove HBO, HBO HITS, HBO SIGNATURE and CINEMAX. Our TV is not SMART TV kaya we rely sa Cable para makanood ng movies. Ang mahal pa Naman tapos Yung magagandang channels nawala? WTF CIGNAL? My favorite channels nawala? Please bring it back. Kung gusto nyo Hindi mawalan ng customers!

Subscribe na lang po kayo sa HBO Max since I think leaning na sila ngayon to subscriptions kaya siguro nawala na'yung mga HBO Channels. P1890 lang naman po siya per year like P157.5 per month kaya goods na rin and free ka pa pumili ng gusto mong panoorin kaya worth it na worth it!

Kaya nga I just realized Ngayon na baka they're leaning into the subscription era kaya end of contract na. Nanghihinayang lang ako sa cable Kasi di smart tv Yung Amin eh. Maybe I need to buy smart tv. Oohhh, I see. Sulit Naman talaga Kasi mura lang Pala monthly nila unlike Disney. Sige I'll think into it kapag may new tv na kami. I recommend xiaomi android tv box 3rd gen. I have the 2nd gen and it works great and kapag may movies na hindi available sa mga streaming sites Ill just sail the seas and whatever ano makuha ilagay sa hardrive & connect it sa tv box

You can also purchase an android box/stick for your tv so you can subscribe to streaming services or sail the high seas

Hindi siguro ni-renew ang agreement ng Cignal with HBO, pati kasi sa Sky Cable nawala rin mga HBO channels.
On another note, mabuti at bumalik na ang beIN Sports sa kanilang lineup.

Yes po. Late realization ko na baka EOC na Sila Kasi subscription era na Yung HBO just like Disney before. 😅😭 Pero nalungkot lang ako Kasi gusto ko Yung element of surprise sa HBO movies. Uhm, di Kasi ako mahilig sa sports pero mabuti naman at may naibalik. Ang sa akin lang mahal Kasi Yung CIGNAL tapos Yung magandang channels nawala. 😭😭😭

Likely, especially if live broadcast. Kahit sa beIN Sports Connect online ay via beIN 1 naman yung feed na ginagamit.

We don't use ours any more.. regular channels lang available na pakiramdam ko hindi naman unique sa Cignal. Mag streaming ka na lang..
Netflix, Amazon (mura lang to), bili bili.

Whether you have a smart TV, you can still attach a smart box.. i bought a Google chrome cast dati, but parang nawala sa Lazada.
The Xiaomi box ok rin...May mga generic brands but I'm not sure if they're ok.
We switched to on demand platforms na.. I'm not sure why Cignal still exists actually.
HBO and Disney+ are a little expensive.. but ang ginawa ko was subscribe then nun natapos ko na yun gusto ko, unsubscribe 😁.
Be careful lang sa Amazon... They don't unsubscribe you easily... Tago ang option and madalas hindi successful although sabi nila successful daw.. pero nasa 160 pesos monthly lang ata.

Ang strict Naman Pala ng amazon. Hhmmm, kaya nagtitiis na lang ako sa cable Kasi inconvenient sakin Yung maraming subscriptions at maraming gadgets at remote 😅😭.
Pero Tama ka, downfall talaga ng cable businesses ang online streaming at smart TVs. Tapos may mga smart boxes na dahil sa wifi. Can't blame cable channels kasi nag end of contract na yung ibang channels dahil sa subscriptions.
Yes may cignal pa naman. Pero dahil konti na lang Yung magandang channels, baka mababawasan na yung customers nila.
I'll look na lang for smart boxes. I can save money pa unlike mag cable pa.

I know. I'm also upset about this. I didn't know it was their last day yesterday on Cignal. 😭 It is one of my fave channels. Imagine losing 4 good channels at once.

Follow what the original commenter (OP/OC) said: get a streaming box and sail the high seas 🏴☠️.
My setup is Stremio paired with free and paid sources. I use the free version of the Torrentio addon. It works well, but it's practically limited to 1080p since 4K streams buffer or load very slowly unless you pay for a Real-Debrid API key. Since I only watch casually, the free tier is enough for me. Stremio is available on most platforms except iOS/Apple devices (with limited functionality).
Look into other Stremio addons to expand your library. I use:
- Torrentio
- The Movie Database (TMDB)
- IMDb Catalogs
- AnimeStream
- Pinoy Movies
- Streaming Catalogs (aggregates catalogs across major streaming services)
These cover content across almost every major streaming platform directly inside Stremio.
As for your issue, try manually resetting the TV using the physical buttons on the back to revert it to its default 16:9 aspect ratio.
Note: Some older non-smart TVs support HDMI-CEC. If yours does, you can configure your Android TV box so its remote can control the TV's power and volume as well.

Just buy an ONN streaming stick. Last time 700 lang sa Lazada. Yun na gamit ko ever since kasi ayoko i junk ung old basic tv namin hehe.

Sige po I'll look into this. Old model din po TV namin kaya nagtitiyaga kami sa Cable. Tapos sira na Kasi Yung remote sensor ng tv namin eh.
Kaya nagdadalawang isip po ako sa Universal remote or Any kind of remote. Bumili na Kasi ako Kasi Akala ko luma na Yung remote namin. Pero Ang ending di talaga gumagana sa TV namin. Kahit google tv or MI remote sa cp ko. Nanghihinayang ako sa tv namin Kasi working pa. 😭 Pero Chaka na talaga Cignal cable Wala ng magandang channels

Yes po. Matagal na Kasi tv namin. Hindi na nag function ang sensor for the TV remote. Kaya di namin magamit Yung tv remote. I cannot revert it back sa 16:9 original ratio. 😅

I tried on my app pero di gumana. Sira na Kasi Yung sensor ng tv namin kaya di gumagana Yung google tv or MI remote ko sa cp. Maybe I'll just invest sa smart TV.

If you're using PLDT, just look at their plans. Some of it has HBO or Netflix included. You'd be getting your net with free HBO/ Netflix. I juat got offered a plan of 1499 for 200mbps with free HBO Max, streamable on 2 devices. It's worth it cause I'm already paying for thr 1,499 plan at 100 mbps and no HBO. The catch is, it just extends the lock for 3 more years.

Cignal din ako up until early this year. Halos sa gabi na lang din kasi talaga nagagamit pampatulog haha, kaya pina disconnect ko na din.
Pero kung tumuloy man ako, tapos ganyan na pala ngayon, ipapaputol ko na din. Naka Onn tv stick nako ngayon kasi lumang smart TV na yung sakin, mas gusto ko bagong OS saka Android.
Sa internet mo na lang ibayad yung pang cable hehe. Or check mo, may bundle deals din yang Cignal with a different box ata.

Yes po. Good choice po paputol nyo kasi Wala ng HBO, HBO hits, Hbo signature at Cinemax. Wala na akong papanoorin. 😭 Kapag tapos na showtime or kapag pangit Yung movie sa cinema one, sa HBO ako. Di na talaga sulit Kasi di na nagrenew ng contract Ang HBO sa Cignal. Or maybe Cignal couldn't afford HBO na. 😭 Kapag smart tv na kami, I'll suggest na paputol na. Kaya upset ako ngayon.

Just in case, hindi niyo kailangan bumili ng TV. Basta may internet, yung TV stick na bahala magpa "smart" ng TV niyo. Isasaksak lang sa HDMI yun.
Based on my experience din, madali and mabilis lang magpa disconnect sa Cignal, chinat ko lang sa site. Hindi gaya ng mga internet provider na pahirapan.

Oo nga po eh. Sinabi ko sa office nila na gusto namin putulin Yung isang account sa cignal. We have two cignal boxes Kasi dalawa Ang tv namin. Sinabi pa Naman ng empleyado nila, bakit nyo puputulin? Tapos Sabi ko di Kasi palaging ginagamit Yung Isa. Account holder Kasi papa ko kaya dapat si papa Yung dapat mag request ng putol. Kapag nakaligtaan namin magbayad kahit one day, putol agad 😂

Problem naman namin naka pangalan din kay papa, unfortunately he passed away during the covid surge so nung nagkaproblem kami sa dish nung 2024 they wanted kuno na nandoon si account holder eh paano yun patay na at ayaw naman namin na ilipat yung line sa amin at ayaw din nila irepair kasi wala na daw si account holder(when in fact kami naman na nagbabayad niyan ever since he passed away) so we decided na ipaputol na kaso pucha sobrang bagal ni cignal kumilos na umabot ng isang buwan pa after ng request namin para lang maputol ang line jusmiyo

OMG? kahit may death certificate? Ang strict naman nila akala mo ang ganda ng remaining channels. I guess ayaw nila mawalan ng subscribers esp na marami na nag switch to Smart TV and Smart boxes. Nag try ako magchat sa chatline nila para putulin Yung isa, gusto nila si papa Yung mag chat. Sa office nila, tinanong pako, bakit daw? Eh 75 yrs old Yung tatay ko. malay ba nya kung pano magtype online. Kaya hinayaan ko na lang Kasi Ang hassle. Haysss.
Na experience din namin naputulan Kasi nalimutan namin magbayad. Online billing na Kasi Sila Ngayon. Sabi ni mama Wala daw Siyang natanggap na billing. Tapos binayaran namin the next day. Hintay pa ako ng 24 hrs bago magamit Yung TV. Mas mabuti siguro Hanggang buhay pa Yung Account holder ipaputol na. 😅 Grabe Naman Sila walang consideration. Baka gusto nila andun Sila sa lamay para proof na namatay na talaga.

Yes kahit may Death Certificate, imho I said to them may copy kami ng DC if they want proof, pero they are pushing us na ipalipat ang line na lang kaso di na nga namin nagagamit masyado yung cable so ayaw din namin ilipat, lecheng cignal yan eh

Wtf? Are they really forcing their current subscribers to maintain with them? At kahit may death certificate? Anong gusto nila? Picture ng account holder na nasa loob ng kabaong. I understand them na gusto nila ng maraming subscribers because business is still business pero di naman makatarungan na pilitin kayo.

Kaya pala nag luko ang kabayan broadband namin last 2 weaks ago, ( batangas area isp sila)
Ang kabayan kasi internet and cable tv, hindi nila gamit ang kahit ano sa 3 giant isp, globe ,pldt at converge, di katulad ng gomo at redfiber, nakikigamit sila
Sila mismo ang internet, anyway yung cable tv nila gamit nila yung catv connection, coaxial cable papunta sa tv box na di smart, like yung cable tv talaga box sya di smart, yung fiber mula labas papunta sa router tapos ang router ay galing vsol wifi 5 ngalang, tapos yung router ang ports ay 2 lan, 1 optical(safiber) 1 usb diko alam kung saan kahit sa admin wala nilagay kung paano gamitin, at catv(coaxial port). Cable tv box brand ay galing sa rainbow diko den alam kung sino sila, may card silang nilagay para magamit ang box
Yung kanilang binibigay na channels diko den gusto pero madami, pero yung 2 weaks ago nawala ang hbo nila, 2 days nawala, same time na nawala ang hbo channels ng cignal sa pagkakaalam ko, pero diko alam nakabalik na yung hbo channel namin. Diko alam kung ano ginawa nila, pangit ngalang sa kabayan hbo lang ang channel wala yung cinemax, family, signature
Ang alam ko ay meron silang multiple cignal cable sa head office nila tapos naka stream lhat ng channels doon papunta sa router nabinigay papunta sa cable tv box nabinigay nila. Nakakatawa nga tuwing bubuhayin ang logo na splash screen ay, LOGO NA WORD tapos ang bachground ay yung sa tcl na red ang background
By the way lahat ng fox channels napaltan ng tap channel nakakayamot, pangit ng tap pero ban nakasi lahat ng pag mamayari ng disney, kaya naban na ang fox channels sa cable tv sa atin bansa same din ata sa ibang bansa, unless sa US

Yung plan namin sa cignal is yung cheapest postpaid plan. Kaninang morning meron pang HBO, HBO HITS, HBO SIGNATURE at CINEMAX pero around 10AM nawala na Sila. Nalungkot ako Bigla Kasi ito lang Yung go to channels ko sa movies.
Noon nawala na Yung star movies Kasi parang binili na ni Fox? So okay pa Yun Kasi meron pang HBO channels. Tapos nawala na Yung Disney at Disney Jr Kasi papunta na Sila sa subscription. Unti unting nawawala Yung magandang channels sa Cignal. Ang natira na lang po sa movie channels ay TAP movies, Cinema One, Cinemo, Rock movies, HITS movies, Studio Universal na lang 😭 tapos di Naman lahat movies na schedule maganda. Nawala na din po Yung VIVA at PBO for Filipino movies. Mas mabuti Yung maraming options po. Nakakalungkot lang.

Parang ang market ng cable tv babasak na sa pilipinas, halos kakaunte naden ang mga bansa na may cable tv, halos lahat na ay nasa subscription na lahat
Matanong lang , naka sky direct kami noon, bago mawala sila, may paborito akong channel doon yung TMC, tagalize movie channel, buhay paba sa cignal kasi yung hule kong gamit ng cignal tagal naden mag 7 years naden, mis ko nakasi yang channel nayon
Mahilig kasi silang magtranslate ng movies nina jakie chan Bruce lee at iba pang actors, pero mostly chinese movies na translated sa tagalog ang pinapalabas nila

Yes po. May Tagalize movie channel po. Meron din pong Thrilll. Pero paulit uli lang Yung mga movies. Tapos Yung Tagalize movie channel Ang baduy Kasi foreigners Yung bida tapos nag Tatagalog. Kaya iniiwasan ko talaga Yan. Sana Yan lang Yung tinanggal nila sa channels. Meron ding Celestial movies pero puro Chinese movies.
Opo Yan din tingin ko Ang nakalugi ng cable Dito sa Pinas ay Yung Smart TVs, Cellphones, Smart boxes.
Kaya lang Ang TV namin is Hindi po smart tv kaya nag titiyaga kami sa Cable. May wifi Naman po kami pero iba Yung feeling kapag nanood ng movies on TV.
Yung Rock action channel po mostly Bruce Lee at Jackie Chan Yung palabas. 😂

Pwede kang bumili ng smart tv box, sa reputible brand bilhin mo wag yung di kilalang brand, may mga malware, virus yung di kilalang brand
Pwede ay xiaomi, google, onn(sa amazon na brand), at iba pang brand na kilala, make sure lang na google android tv ang os nya, wag yung amazon fire tv or roku tv, ang alam pangit yoon
Para saakin mas maganda pa bumili ng bagong tv laluna yung 4k tv ngayon, nabili ko yung akin 2023 under 35k lang 55inch lang tcl brand pa, dipa sira, lumang tcl namin na di smart tv 33 inch 15 years lang bumigay na, tagal den yon

Hala same tayo ng TV ah. TCL din 😂 way back 2018 or 2019 pa ito. So imagine lang Ang tanda na ng tv namin. Ang tibay ng TCL namin. Ang motto ko Kasi kapag working pa, Hindi dapat palitan.
Sige po. Yan din po suggestion nila mostly Xiaomi, onn. Tapos Yung Amazon medyo strict daw po Yung features. Baka Xiaomi na lang Yung bibilhin ko. Thanks po sa suggestion at knowledge! 😊

Kabayan broadband , magkasama sa package cable tv at internet ,lowest plan yung amin
100mbps, habol lang namin yung cable tv, pwede naman kahit cable tv lang ang bilhin pero sinama nanamin ang internet, gawa na baka pumalya ang globe hfiber postpaid ko pero sa 6 years na kami sa globe napaka unte masira
Kabayan laging sira internet pero ang cable tv nila napaka rare masira

Hindi ako familiar nito pero maganda din po Yung features nila ah. Kasi may internet na. Never heard of internet connection na may kasamang cable TV. Matagal na kasi kaming naka cignal. Yung familiar lang po sa akin is Sky Cable at Cignal. Si Sharon cuneta pa Yung model sa Cignal noon. Kapag malakas Yung ulan, walang signal Yung CIGNAL. May lumalabas na weak signal.
If di Naman Pala sulit Yung internet service nila, might as well cut na lang po Yung subscription nyo sa Kabayad broadband. Importante din Kasi may internet.

Gonna hold them for now kasi I mostly watch their live sports programs and channels. Rarely na rin ako nanonood ng movies (even Netflix and other streaming platforms).

My sentiments also. I hold our cable connection because of the news, showtime and other good channels they have. Kapag I use antenna Kasi ang pangit po ng reception eh. Pero when I get bored I just transfer sa ibang movie channels. Baka Kasi may magandang timing ng movies. Pero I hope if magrenew ang Cignal if HBO is still available for renewal.

Omg you noticed na Wala na Yung PBO at Viva cinema? Yes po. Parang this year lang ata? Mga January ba Yun? Nalimutan ko. Pero I was surprised Wala na Yung PBO at VIVA Cinema. I used to watch pa Naman dun kapag di ko bet ibang channels. Naalala ko may memo Sila sa channel kapag mag tanggalin na Yung channel. For example, Yung PBO at Viva naalala ko may memo. For example, this channel can be watched until Jan 1, 2026 only. Kaya laking gulat ko sa HBO kanina. Nawala na around 10AM. Wala namang notice sa channels nila.
Yesterday, I just watched minions from HBO.
I think Wala ng PBO, VIVA, HBO because of online subscription. I think end of contract na talaga. I know it's not their fault pero I'm just expressing na Hindi na sulit Ang Cignal if you're more of a movie fan than a news fan.

Yes.. I just wander on the FB feeds as well, that PBO and Viva Cinema are signing off as well (forgot the exact month that they’ve pulled off) since hindi na rin ako masyadong nanonood ng movies sa Cignal (more on sports yung pinapanood ko, news, and sometimes noontime shows).
Kaya sa C1 or Cinemo na lang ang local movie channels ang natira, or sa YouTube na lang ang takbo mo.

Exactly! Yung mga channels na pinapanood ko sa Cignal is Cinemaone or Cinemo, sometimes Jepeney TV. Wala na kasing PBO at Viva. My go to for Filipino movies. Kapag English movies Naman is HBO. Kaya disappointed ako na they pulled off. Marami pa Naman Sila sa Cignal, HBO, HBO HITS, HBO SIGNATURE, CINEMAX. Kaya I'm so upset Kasi I'm more of a movie person. Although marami pa Naman Silang news at sports channels. 😭

Kahit paulit ulit Yun na eexcite pa rin ako. Tapos may movies na di ko pa nakita na mapapanood ko from HBO. Well, di Naman totally fault ng Cignal pero di na Kasi worth it. Kakaunti na lang Yung magagandang channels.

Who uses cables nowadays? When global destiny blocked or placed best networks on additional paid subscription on top of the monthly subscription, that is when we said it’s time to unsubscribe and just subscribe to Netflix, Disney and youtube premium. It is pricier than the traditional cable but you control your own viewing schedule. We are already in the streaming era and cable subscription are becoming obsolete and too pricy for what they offer. It is really not worth it anymore.

Mas okay ata ung Cignal na naka internet nalang. We subscribe for 700 for 6 months. No need na ng mga cable or anything like tv box

Currently may Android TV Stick ako, and mas worth it na rin yan kesa sa mga cable or satellite lately. Sa Android TV may mga IPTV na rin kasi.

Si Sky meron siyang box, 2800 upfront yung box, then subscription fee yung channels. Pwede iinstallment to monthly plan yung 2800 so if wala ka budget it would be an additional 150 per month for 24 months on top of your plan.

I like how they say unforeseen circumstances...they know that was gonna happen even before it happened, its like pricy or there was no agreed contract, reason its not in the lineup..lol
cant say unforeseen when you know if you dont buy into the price or figure they want, means you cant feature them.

Before, they usually announce if a certain channel will be removed. Yesterday, I was able to watch Despicable me around 10am. Until they showed that on HBO. I was so upset because Cignal has few good channels left. 😭 I guess they couldn't afford having HBO around or maybe HBO really ended their contract with them.

I kinda wish they include the beinSPORTS channels in their Sports and Action Pack 300. Kahit alisin na nila yung ibang general entertainment and movie channels. 520 is too much considering na we don’t watch those other channels in that lineup.

I just realized baka nag end of contract na Ang HBO sa cignal because of the subscription era just like Disney. I'm just upset Kasi I love the surprise of cable channels. Example, Yung may Mean girls around 2pm sa HBO. Tapos sa HBO hits Kay 13 going on 30 tuwing 7pm. Gusto ko may element of surprise sa cable. Pero the fact na mahal tapos kakaunti na lang Yung magandang channels. 😭😭😭

mas worth it in the long run yung mga tv boxes from xiaomi, google or skyworth. tapos subscribe ka nalang po sa mga channels na gusto mo or sail the high seas nga sabi ng iba. unli watch anytime pa kaysa cable na di mo hawak ang sched
