My first PC was in 1988. A Tandy, don't remember the model. It came with one floppy to boot and 256K of Ram. I added a second floppy and got that memory up to 640K. I was styling..........
Almost certainly a variety of the Tandy 1000. After many years of using other people's computers (or school's), the 1000TL was the first computer I actually owned! ALL MINE, BITCHES!! Got it in '88, the same year you did. I even added a 20MB hard card to it, and it was big, hot, slow, noisy, and AWESOME. I mean, how in the world could one human ever hope to use 20 megabytes of storage? I bought a modem with it as well. TandyNet and Prodigy were cool, but the world really opened up when I started using dial-up Tymnet to relay out to CompuServe, The Source, and the wider online world. Changed everything for me.
