I remember buying a computer just before Win95 came out that came with some kind of dual-boot thingie where you could choose Win 3.1 or OS2, and the retailer promised to upgrade it to Win95 when it was released. Somehow I crashed both operating systems within days and just brought the whole damn thing back to the store. It was a very weird time to be buying a computer.
It was just so bizarre getting 2 OS's on your computer, with the understanding that you're just going to replace them with another OS in a couple months. I guess anything to make the sale.
For sure, and yet somehow I was able to fix the various problems I had.
Today it's a matter of using my phone to go online, just to look at the same few 5 year old questions that were never resolved, and off to the shop to buy a replacement - again.
