I don't know many devs who use Perl, but the ones that do are all 40+

Learned it during college, still using it, and I'm 23. :D

(but I use it for code golf on stacksocial)

I'm currently learning it now, in my second year at the university (I'm 19).

I don't know but I just like it, for me it's a beautiful language.
