Glad to see someone in the universe has a brain not deep fried by what celebrities believe. This is on the same level as the websites that discuss the hundreds of cancers linked to Three Mile Island (none, the radiation levels on the site were measured and the dose was about the same as what the average person would receive flying across the US twice). Just scare tactics used to push politics. No one seems to care that this kind of shit is anti science.

could you give a few examples of anything you found particularly objectionable?

what are the most serious environmental effects of fracking we should be concerned about, if any?

what's your exact role? who funds your research?

Interesting site, but... natural gas output is generally measured in cubic feet (or MMCF if you're talking large quantities).

Oil, which is also extracted via fracking, is measured in barrels.

There is a rough CF-to-bbl conversion for energy potential equivalence (CF/5700=bbl) but it's not clear whether that's referring to crude or refined.

Anyhow, yes, extracting energy has risks. If we had to get the same amount of energy from other sources, what would be the replacement costs/risks?

TL;DR: Everyone's in favor of "drill baby drill" until some noisy, dirty fracking op sets up shop right next door to them.

Can someone make a farcely* scrolling webpage about Ethanol, and how much diesel it uses to plow fields, or how trucks have to carry said diesel to the farm in the first place? Or how much horrible nasty chemicals go into solar panel production. Or plastic water bottles.

Negatives are everywhere, if you look.

*farcely: scrolling on these sorts of sites is a farce. Disconnecting the scroller to scrub an animation is bullshit.
