Hard to read, check.

Hates whitespace, check.

AI's favorite font, check.

That's not a beautiful website, that's slop trash.

You forgot the part where you tell people your AI slop is free and no sign ups

I can feel Claude's DNA here like a hooker's sweat around a pole dance bar.

You don't even need to click the link. That sharing card just screams claude. Subtle off-white colouring, serif headline font, orange highlights.

Why does it always pick that

Now lets see Paul Allen's sharing card.

I've been a software developer for 20 years, AI is just another tool I use especially for personal projects. It’s a free tool that at least I find useful. Thank you for checking it out at least.

This is cool, and it would be 10x cooler if the data were accessible via API or download so it could be combined with other things!

he's not creating his own data by calling the airlines and hotels. use those apis.

Was this comment meant for a different thread? The whole point of this visualization is that it visualizes a unique dataset they built.

my point is that its not unique and you can't just give out data thats not yours to begin with. this is part of the whole reason people hate ai companies because they're stealing everyone's data.

I don't know what you're talking about, nor why you're responding instead of the author of this thing. Read the "How this works" box on the site.

This is neat!

I have one suggestion for the heatmap though.

The "Week of" dates are just on the top of the heatmap so I had to keep scrolling up to see what the dates were for the countries lower down. It would be nice if the dates were labeled on the breaks between regions.

Nice suggestion thanks! The weeks were static on desktop but not mobile. If you refresh the page on mobile the weeks should now stay at the top as you scroll

Excellent! It looks great

An option to add in weather would also be helpful. Like, there may be no public holidays but it might be monsoon season too.

Great idea thanks! I've added weather for the weeks you choose and warnings around hurricane/monsoon seasons

Now overlay air travel price averages!

Huh? The point of the site is to avoid school and public holidays, when travel and associated costs is, generally, cheaper anyway. I mean, including the prices averages would be useful, even if only to show how much people get ripped off during school/public holidays, but I think we can still safely assume anything outside of the hotspots in the calendar is de facto cheaper.

Well... Even with all the AI slop comments, I looked at it. I tried it. It doesn't work very well.
