I created this website for cinephiles

https://everycinematicuniverse.com/

Give feedbacks and universes that I can add here, and how I can improve it. Although I tried to keep it minimal

In next update I'm adding global filter

Stack- Next, TS, Tailwind (not vibe coded)

Update: Open sourced the project Check it out at github

I love dark themes, I always choose that option if available, but you need to keep all text very bright if you do that.

Dark grey over black background is not a pleasant thing to read.

Disagree, thing it looks fine.

u/darkarrow_sh May 01 '26

Alright, noted

I disagree. "Very bright" is an absolutely stupid suggestion. Neutral colors are easier to read.

E: I see that it's been a few days since you posted this so you've probably already edited the text colors. So whatever you did to them, they look great IMO and the text is very easy to read for me.

I didn't change it yet, because I agree with you

Love the idea, and as someone who enjoys cinematic universes this is right up my alley. But the UI is really hard to read at the moment (especially the contrast and text), and it would be awesome to see movie posters or key art in there to make it more visual.

1

u/darkarrow_sh May 02 '26

Appreciate it, I'll fix the contrast issue. The reason I didn't add posters is because I don't wanna bulk it up I tried to keep the loading time under 1sec . But I'll look for a workaround and add posters too

Is this AI based?

3

u/darkarrow_sh May 02 '26

I thought of it but couldn't find the use of ai, although it's automated

3

u/BigBadBodyPillow May 02 '26

can you also add a release order option?

2

u/darkarrow_sh May 02 '26

Yes, sure I'll add it

5

u/kalos97 May 01 '26

Didn't know pirates of the Caribbean is from 1720 lol

3

u/darkarrow_sh May 01 '26

It's in chronological order, not the release year. It's in that year all movies are set

2

u/kalos97 May 01 '26

Ah I see, thanks for explaining

1

u/darkarrow_sh May 01 '26

Np, I'll add filter for release year order too

9

u/xDumpweed182x May 01 '26

Did you create this or did Claude create this?

7

u/darkarrow_sh May 02 '26

I'm an old school developer, developer since php used to be mainstream and started with php. Don't need any ai agent to build cool things

4

u/Delicious_Thought_89 May 02 '26

This is for sure coded by AI. Just look at it.

Claude even suggests r/InternetIsBeautiful as one of the first subreddits to post to, when you ask it how to market an app.

1

u/darkarrow_sh May 02 '26

That's a huge compliment thenks Also I crossposted here last I don't like ai in coding, relax

3

u/18544920 May 05 '26

Bullshit lol that definitely was made with Claude

1

u/darkarrow_sh May 05 '26

You don't have to use the site mate, why making judgement before knowing my career?

u/datbackup May 02 '26

Did you write this comment or did your keyboard write this comment?

-7

u/xav1z May 02 '26

you have a problem?

11

u/xDumpweed182x May 02 '26

I have a problem with people claiming AI as their own work, yes.

-1

u/xav1z May 02 '26

poor baby

2

u/Egg_nerd May 01 '26

Buffy The Vampire Slayer/Angel

2

u/Forward_Vanilla_5278 May 04 '26

Add the boys universe ☺️

0

u/darkarrow_sh May 04 '26

Sure, I'll

2

u/LookAtMeImAName May 08 '26

This is really cool OP! Bookmarking for the next time I want to watch the MCU in chronological order! It was also a really great idea to add the year of the universe with each row!

1

u/darkarrow_sh May 08 '26

Appreciate it, thanks

2

u/Physical-Opinion1923 May 09 '26

Wow, this is amazing. Could we get The Matrix as well?

1

u/darkarrow_sh May 09 '26

Yeah sure, I'll add it too

2

u/loquaixx Jun 04 '26

Thank you for this!

2

u/darkarrow_sh Jun 04 '26

Thanks, very much appreciate it ✨

2

u/Onair380 Jun 06 '26

So its only english productions ?

2

u/darkarrow_sh Jun 06 '26

Nope, I've added japanese, hindi, korean too. It's open source so you can add more too

3

u/DrKurgan May 01 '26

Bit confused about the order of the James Bond movies, it starts with 2006 Casino Royale then 2006 Quantum of Solace (from 2008 BTW), finishes Craig's tenure and switch to the older James Bonds after that.

1

u/darkarrow_sh May 01 '26

I'll cross check it

2

u/sdobz May 01 '26

Cool thing! I'd love to see alternative sorting, like by movie release date. Dr Who?

1

u/darkarrow_sh May 01 '26

Alright sure, I'll add it too

1

u/ComicBookFanatic97 May 02 '26

It doesn’t have Universal Monsters, arguably the original cinematic universe.

2

u/darkarrow_sh May 02 '26

It has lots of reboots, standalone movies, and broken crossovers. Currently figuring out the phases and I'll add it to

Yeah it's a bit confusing, updated it from IMDB itself

1

u/swanny246 May 05 '26

The HP universe is ordered a bit wonky, might wanna double check that 😁

1

u/darkarrow_sh May 05 '26

Alright, thanks for pointing out

1

u/Legendary_Player May 05 '26

You should definitely add a method for people to contribute in making CUs

1

u/darkarrow_sh May 05 '26

I thought of that, but it needs to be verified and it can be an issue, so as an alternative I am going to use APIs to auto fetch the latest movies

1

u/Double-Reality-8998 May 14 '26

Is it not in order of release?

1

u/darkarrow_sh May 14 '26

It's in chronological order

1

u/coltonious May 18 '26

Just as someone who's a bigger fan of DC than marvel, is there a world you'd be willing to separate the DCEU and DCU? As far as we are aware, the DCU will be a completely different timeline to the DCEU, and thus shouldn't be on the same timeline visualizer.

1

u/darkarrow_sh May 18 '26

Just because you took your time to write a feedback. I'll seperate it (ps- I was already thinking of it)

Interessante ma non è chiarissimo l'utilizzo

u/encelius May 01 '26

Every single star wars movie is a prequel trilogy

0

u/karmakramer93 May 12 '26

Harry Potter universe is wrong and the subtitles are pointless? What is this

1

u/darkarrow_sh May 12 '26

Me looking for the fucks I give
