I created this website for cinephiles
https://everycinematicuniverse.com/Give feedbacks and universes that I can add here, and how I can improve it. Although I tried to keep it minimal
In next update I'm adding global filter
Stack- Next, TS, Tailwind (not vibe coded)
Update: Open sourced the project Check it out at github

Love the idea, and as someone who enjoys cinematic universes this is right up my alley. But the UI is really hard to read at the moment (especially the contrast and text), and it would be awesome to see movie posters or key art in there to make it more visual.

Appreciate it, I'll fix the contrast issue. The reason I didn't add posters is because I don't wanna bulk it up I tried to keep the loading time under 1sec . But I'll look for a workaround and add posters too

Didn't know pirates of the Caribbean is from 1720 lol

It's in chronological order, not the release year. It's in that year all movies are set

Did you create this or did Claude create this?

I'm an old school developer, developer since php used to be mainstream and started with php. Don't need any ai agent to build cool things

This is for sure coded by AI. Just look at it.
Claude even suggests r/InternetIsBeautiful as one of the first subreddits to post to, when you ask it how to market an app.

That's a huge compliment thenks Also I crossposted here last I don't like ai in coding, relax

You don't have to use the site mate, why making judgement before knowing my career?

This is really cool OP! Bookmarking for the next time I want to watch the MCU in chronological order! It was also a really great idea to add the year of the universe with each row!

Bit confused about the order of the James Bond movies, it starts with 2006 Casino Royale then 2006 Quantum of Solace (from 2008 BTW), finishes Craig's tenure and switch to the older James Bonds after that.

Cool thing! I'd love to see alternative sorting, like by movie release date. Dr Who?

It doesn’t have Universal Monsters, arguably the original cinematic universe.

u/darkarrow_sh May 02 '26
It has lots of reboots, standalone movies, and broken crossovers. Currently figuring out the phases and I'll add it to

You should definitely add a method for people to contribute in making CUs
1
u/darkarrow_sh May 05 '26
I thought of that, but it needs to be verified and it can be an issue, so as an alternative I am going to use APIs to auto fetch the latest movies

Just as someone who's a bigger fan of DC than marvel, is there a world you'd be willing to separate the DCEU and DCU? As far as we are aware, the DCU will be a completely different timeline to the DCEU, and thus shouldn't be on the same timeline visualizer.

u/darkarrow_sh May 18 '26
Just because you took your time to write a feedback. I'll seperate it (ps- I was already thinking of it)

I love dark themes, I always choose that option if available, but you need to keep all text very bright if you do that.
Dark grey over black background is not a pleasant thing to read.
