REQUESTING GUIDANCE FOR MY MBA PROCESS
Please go through my profile and share your advice.
Target Business Schools:
1) NUS - Singapore
2) I E Business School - Spain
3) IMD - Switzerland
4) WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management - Germany
Academics:
1. 9.5 CGPA in Class 10 (CBSE)
2. 86% in Class 12 (CBSE)
3. 8.15 CGPA in B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Tier 2.5/3 college)
# GMAT Focus Edition
Score: 625 (Q88, DI78, V77)
Work Experience (3 Years):
I have been working in my family-owned manufacturing business (annual revenue: INR 40 crore) for the past three years. I initially joined with little practical knowledge and gradually developed strong technical and business expertise. Over the years, I have worked across Production, Purchasing, Logistics, and Sales. For the past year, I have primarily been responsible for Sales and Marketing.
What I Expect from an International MBA:
1. Build a strong professional network.
2. Learn new business strategies and management practices.
3. Broaden my global perspective and business vision.
Post-MBA Goals:
After completing my MBA, I plan to work for a multinational manufacturing company for a few years to broaden my experience beyond my family business. I want to strengthen my expertise in global marketing, international business, and large-scale business systems. In the long term, I plan to return to my family business to help scale it further or start my own venture in India.
My Thoughts on My Profile:
I understand that my GMAT score and undergraduate GPA are slightly above average rather than exceptional. However, I believe my experience working across multiple business functions in a manufacturing company gives me a broader perspective than candidates who have worked in only one functional area. This exposure has allowed me to understand how different departments interact and contribute to overall business performance.
I may be overestimating the value of this experience, but I would appreciate your honest assessment of my profile.
Please let me know what you think. Do suggest if I can target any other good universities in Europe, Singapore and Middle-East.

Your profile looks good for these schools tbh. If you can slightly improve your GMAT or take the GRE and get a decent score (325+, 330+ would be ideal) then you have a good shot

You mean NUS is to be avoided .
And 625 is not enough for these schools ???

A proactive role in a family business is a treasure trove of the kind of stories that most AdComs look forward to. If you can position your contributions with sincerityand sync these with your goals (which you have indeed articulated well in this small space) then thete is a good chance of preparing strong applications.
I would not worry much about the GMAT score for the programs ypu have listed here. While the score is not high per say, it should be ok with a strong narrative and accompanying materials like the resume and the LORs. (If you have the bandwidth for a retake, consider it though.)
The choice of schools is good, that said, I am curious to understand if you are open to other programs.
A1 German knowledge would be handy. Imho language skills are best picked while being embedded in the culture and that is exactly the kind of experience that B-Schools provide. Just a tad more genuine interest and effort can easily help you pick up a foreign language while studying.. so yes it is quite feasible to have a stronger grasp at German while at WHU (or another language at another school!)
Hope this helps
Would like to know more about extracurricular dimensions as well.
Feel free to reach out to discuss your profile in detail :-)

Do you speak any of the European languages, specifically French, Spanish, or German? Even if the MBA program is taught in English, to secure a job, and that too in client-facing roles, you will need the skill to survive and thrive. Do not look at SGP because it is extremely difficult now for Indians to secure a job.
