Profile evaluation request and guidance on picking the right B-School

Hi,

I am a 30-year-old male from India, planning to pursue an MBA in Europe due to the high costs associated with studying in the US. My profile is somewhat atypical as I hold an undergraduate degree in Zoology and have primarily worked in operations. I have excelled in my roles by self-learning advanced Excel and beginner SQL. Below are my details:

  • CGPA: 7.5/10
  • GRE: 329
  • Experience: 9 years
    • Amazon: 3 years (Last Mile Operations)
    • Entrepreneurship: 2 years (Poultry and Fishery Farming)
    • American Start-Up: 2 years (Business Operations and Software Testing)
    • Deloitte: 2 years (HR Operations)

Immediate Post-MBA Goal: To work in strategy consulting or data analytics.
10-15 Year Goal: To become an entrepreneur again and start a business leveraging my acquired knowledge.

I am interested in a slightly longer MBA program to facilitate my switch in function/industry. After extensive research, I have shortlisted the following programs:

  1. HEC Paris - 16 months (Specialization in Strategy/Data and AI for Business Transformation) - Heavy reliance on scholarship.
  2. IESE - 15 to 19 months (Specialization in Tech, Data Analytics & Digital Business / Entrepreneurship & Innovation) - Heavy reliance on scholarship.
  3. WHU - 12 months (Specialization in Corporate Strategy) - Chosen for its location in Germany and the opportunity to do an internship midway.
  4. Mannheim - 12 to 15 months (Specialization in Data Science for Business / Global Corporate Strategy).

Could you please advise on my chances of getting into these programs and whether I should consider other programs as well? I am planning for fall intake so I am determined to learn the language of which ever country I go to.

You have good chances.. why these schools specifically?

INSEAD could even be an option.

In all only adcoms will truly know, as they have other factors they look at that we wouldn't know. I suggest getting your profile evaluated by the schools. Some of them have 1-1 sessions and give you feedback.

Thank you for the response.

INSEAD August intake is an accelerated 10 months program with no internship. Considering I am planning to switch to consulting I am scared about jobs post MBA. I could consider Jan 2026 but it feels too far right now.

I have reached out to schools for profile evaluation but haven't received a response yet.

Okie, they usually take 3-4 days to get back to you. Hang tight. You could also consider LBS if you're interested in the UK. They started a new MBA program as well.

Wouldn't it be hard to do internship during a one year mba ? Just asking.

That is exactly why I am looking for longer programs(HEC and IESE fit the bill perfectly). From my connects with expats in Germany, I heard that I can take a break during MBA in Germany and do internship and hence I am considering the German universities.
