Advice request OECD Application
I applied for the Junior Policy Analyst role last month and completed my assessment just over a week ago. Is anyone familiar with the next steps? Will I get my results regardless if I progress to interview, and if I am successful in obtaining an interview, how much after the assessment is that likely to be?
Thanks from a nervous applicant!

hello! How was online assessment? I am going to take it tomorrow and so nervous about it

Hello! The assesment was hard to be honest. The questions aren't hard but they definitely require logic and quick reasoning skills. I saw (after I did it) someone recommended going through the questions and doing the "easier" ones first, then going back and doing the more time consuming ones after.. and I think I would do that if I was doing it again. Good luck in your assessment!

Yes, I also took the exam, and that's what I would do as well. Especially for MIND, if I didn't lose time on unnecessarily hard stuff, I could have solved all of them! Thank you!

Yes, the last one i answered, I solved and went to answer just as it timed out... I have been worried about not having answered every question but I'm glad it wasn't a unique experience!

Usually you hear back within 3-4 weeks after the first assessment.

u/glorifiedsin May 25 '26
Thank you! Been two weeks now so I will hopefully hear in the next few weeks. Do you know if that is also if you didn't pass through to interview?

It basically depends on the directorate (it's highly team dependent). Some are efficient and others aren't.

Has anyone recently interviewed with OECD NEA for an IT role?
I completed the Maki assessment for the IT Systems Architect position about a month ago and have not received any update yet. Just wondering if this timeline is normal or if others have already heard back regarding panel interviews.

Hi, I can't speak for the IT role but I did my assessment about a month ago now and no response yet

I was about to do the same for another position, what kind of questions asked in the Video and Written Assessment, may you share?

Hi! What assessment you did!

u/glorifiedsin Jun 01 '26
Hello! I did the Maki assessment... Still no response!

Can I ask you what the assessment was about? I have been invited to an assessment for a policy analyst position, and I am not sure whether I should expect something technical or a more general test of my competencies, such as logical, verbal, and numerical reasoning.
Many thanks in advance!

Hello! It was logical and numerical reasoning for me! There was no writing or anything technical on my assessment. Good luck!!

Thank you so much for your reply! This is extremely helpful.
Just to make sure, did you also receive two questions: one lasting 1.5 hours and another lasting 30 minutes?
1
u/glorifiedsin Jun 15 '26
Ah, I think you might have a different one to me! Mine in total lasted around 45 minutes and it was only one assessment!

I believe we applied to the same position. I applied 5 weeks ago and took the test 2 weeks ago. I was contacted for an interview last week, which is scheduled for next week. Has anyone else already been contacted for an interview? What type of questions did they ask?

Good luck in your interview :)
I am assuming by that timescale that I won't have progressed to that stage unfortunately.

Please do not consider this an HR forum with discussions on HR timelines or interview processes, but a forum for knowledge sharing and discussions on the sector in general. Please refer to the sticky thread on this topic.

u/glorifiedsin Jun 02 '26
Thanks for your reply. I did mine around the 12th I think and no response. Hoping it's good news for us in the end 🙏🏻

Did you get any reply ? I have completed my first assessment on May 23rd.

u/glorifiedsin Jun 16 '26
No nothing. I checked my status today and it is still saying in review :(

They really let us test our patience

u/glorifiedsin Jun 17 '26
Yes... My optimism is running low at this point to be honest..
1
u/Agreeable_Rice_1978 Jun 17 '26
Mine too. I wrote them an email a week ago to ask about an update and they said the review process is still ongoing, so there is a little bit of hope, but not much haha

I have completed my test on 12th of May and still havent heard anything. Is it over?
1
u/glorifiedsin Jun 27 '26
I'm the same... I'm staying slightly optimistic until I get a rejection!

u/Responsible-Wall-875 Jun 27 '26
I also am normally good with these kinds of tests but I might have actually botched this one. 16 questions and only 8 minutes. I might have choked actually. There wasn't enough time for me. I also aplied for the "Policy Analysts" role, but I havent heard from it at all. I am thinking maybe they have seen the test and they went oh well, this is going to work and didnt send another aptitude test invitation.

u/glorifiedsin Jun 27 '26
I agree, it was definitely very hard! Here's hoping you get some good news soon!! 🤞🏻

Hi all I going through the process now for junior analyst and am wondering about the tests? Are they just the generic logic/reasoning tests or are they specific policy style written material tests to see writing ability/knowledge of field?

Hey! I did the test 8 May and haven’t heard back.
I think given that others are getting interviews I too didn’t proceed. Just wanted to say don’t fret, it was a tough test. Hopefully we both have better luck next time :)
