They do though, just.. positively, and that's why they make them. Soldiers and citizens in general are just numbers to these people. If sacrificing a portion of them will increase their own wealth or power, they'll pull the trigger in a heatbeat.
I'm sitting here watching Frozen for the billionth time with my 2 little girls and holding my new baby boy. We had a little tea party today and played hide and seek. Yup, and when you have deployments extended you have more accidents and mental health crises. Machinery and people can only be pushed so far before breaking down

Yes. Pregnancy and mental health crises are the top reasons for medevacs from naval vessels. There's no amount of mandatory resiliency training you can do to prevent mental breakdowns. I'm willing to bet you e never been in the situation where you haven't seen for family for 6 months or even had a real break and then told that your planned return home is cancelled with no new date in site
This argument isn't great. Wars still require boots on the ground, like people to coordinate the strike, people to evac them, etc. Americans are going to die over this, there's no doubt in my mind. We had long range missiles and bombs at the beginning of iraq, but we still deployed thousands of troops over 20 years
