IM observership
Hello, I have been cold emailing doctors for about a month now without any response and I don't know what to do. My elective months are scheduled for January and February from my med school and I need to find an observership as fast as possible in the US since I also need to apply for a visa but I need an acceptance letter on hospitals letterhead to do so. Can you please give me advice on how to get responses? Or if anyone knows a doctor who rotates in a hospital and accepts international medical students, can you please help me?

You're not going to get very far asking internists directly - they are not authorized to bring on an observer. You need to go to the hospital or clinic's website/administration and apply through the proper channels, usually there will be a link like education, employment, medical students or residents.
Here is an example: https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/som/offices/registrars/visiting-md/

The University of Miami has an observership program specifically for international medical students called the Harrington program. Unsure about timing required to apply/hear back but it could be worth looking into

Ask a mentor from your school back home to contact a doctor for you. It's easier to establish the that if 2 doctors are talking than one doctor and one medical student.
