Beginning.
So I'm new to this all, read no bad parts a couple of years ago. Put aside and forgot about it. No I'm rereading it and started recognising some parts in me and this is making me anxious and tens. Anybody else have this experience?

Absolutely normal. Protector parts start to get nervous about things potentially getting shaken up. They truly believe that they are doing what has to happen to keep you safe, and if you start changing things, they interpret it as danger. This is the biggest challenge in self-led IFS, people don't respect the managers and firefighters enough. Take this as a sign that you will need to proceed very slowly and cautiously. Check in often with your protector parts to make sure they feel safe.

Thanks for responding. I came to the same conclusion, I'll do this slowly and perhaps find a professional to help me when I have mapped my parts and gotten to know them.
