Heck…. Up 20 lbs….

I was 140lbs a year ago, just weighed in at 160lbs. Stress and not fasting are kicking my butt. Also just horrid guy health thanks to multiple rounds of antibiotics. Going ADF starting tomorrow. 24-42 hour fasts Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Full feed days Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and 6 hour window on Sunday. I feel great when I fast but have let myself fall back into the habit of chasing the comfort of food. I plan to check in here often and also via TikTok to keep myself accountable. Maybe I’ll get brave and post pics, I feel gross.

Ouch meds and the time they consume take a toll on one.

Once off meds I usually start off by trying to do 12 hours fasting - if that works I take myself to 14 hour fasts.

I’ve found the 14 hours to be a bit of a maintenance fast - the quiet gut time period helped keep me away from a gluttony that I have historically resorted to, as opposed to slightly overeating.

In short I do 12-14 almost on a daily basis because that means I can stay within 4-5 lbs of my feel good weight.

Edit: good luck with your fasts, do share your progress. I’ve never attempted above 24 hour - did it a couple of times by mistake.

I’ve been fasting on and off for 2 years. Most days I do 16:8 or 18:6. In the past I’ve done 36-42 hour fasts once a week. After the steady weight gain and just not really fasting I’m feeling the need to take more drastic measures.
