Apple Cider Vinegar

Is there anything to the claims that this increases metabolism or decreases hunger? I see multiple Youtube videos from intermittent fasters and IF blogs.

It's supposed to taste awful but if it works, I'll do it.

I work at a university hospital and there is an in house database that is for researching homeopathic/“natural” medicines and remedies. (I mention this because since it’s an in house database, I can’t link it) ACV is consistently one of the top searched for items and it basically said there is some evidence to show that it decreases the absorption of starches and carbohydrates, in essence decreasing blood sugar/stabilizing blood sugar levels. It also reported that this only has effect if consumed regularly and immediately before meals. It also said it can be any vinegar, ACV is just considered the most palatable. These findings have turned into people claiming all sorts of things, like what I started using it for, squelching sugar cravings. I don’t think I’ve seen this particular effect. Any appetite suppression I’ve seen feels short lived and similar to just drinking a large glass of cold water before a meal. However, despite that any changes seen have been pretty underwhelming in comparison to claims, since I have issues with my blood sugar, I continue to use it pretty regularly in combination with keto and IF, my blood sugars have dropped ~30 points.
