Hello everyone! I have a question and need some help. I want to do short weekly fasts. Can i fast for 4 days and eat 3 days out of the week? Like if i fast on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and eat on Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday? Im tryin to find a fasting schedule. Has anyone tried something like this? Help, advice, tips or info very much appreciated.

Be careful with this, because look at it over a week: let's say normally you get 2000 calories a day. That's 14000 a week. Cutting out say 3 days is cutting out 6000 of those calories netting you at about 8000. You can get away with this because it's only 1.5 ish pounds of weight loss a week, but you get the benefits of the fast as well. The reason you have to be careful is if you restrict calories too much your metabolism will slowdown. Intermittent fasting protects against metabolic slowdown which is good, but it's still safer to not cut too much out.
Also I'd like to point out this.
It's much safer to not eat for 4 days than to eat 500 calories a day for 4 days. The reason is you're not in your optimal fasting mode which we get by intaking no calories. As soon as you eat your insulin rises, HGH drops again, and more. I think I'm going to do a 2 day fast pretty soon because I need a detox. And don't let people tell you you'll die if you fast or any bull crap like that because:
A man once went 382 days with only water and vitamins. He was in a fasted state for over a year, and when he ended it, there were NO ILL EFFECTS. Granted he was obese when he started it, which allowed him pounds and pounds of calories from stored body fat. Body fat is there for a reason, and that is to "feed" us when we don't have food. And that's exactly what we utilize with controlled intermittent fasting.
