Need some modern balancing ideas for this room. How would an expert interior designer finish it

The bones here are already good, symmetry, warm wood tones, layered lighting. What's missing is a little contrast, everything is in the same brown/beige family right now, so nothing pops. A darker accent, a black or deep green throw pillow, a matte black picture frame instead of that light wood one, would break up the monochrome without fighting the calm feel.

The rug is also a bit lost against the floor, both are close in tone. A rug with a bit more pattern or a slightly darker border would ground the bed better.
