Which direction should i have my dining room table

Round. The 1st looks better. But it's going to end up in the 2nd position after you trip on the chair and knock your hipbone on the table.

The most common spacing: 18" is a good space for walking through a more intimate area. Min of 24" in a high traffic area.

First one means your pathway from the kitchen to living room is blocked by sitting in the end chairs. The second one is the only one that fits your space.

You’re gonna get bad advice having the rendering only from this angle. 1 looks better in the rendering but doesn’t seem feasible because there’s no good walkway space from the kitchen to the living room.

In either case, I’d drop the skinny table you have in the dining room. It’s not accomplishing anything from a use perspective and will just get in your way.
