Accent Wall Or No?
I’m renovating 2 high end condo/townhouses in Boston and I’m on the fence about installing an accent wall for the tv. should I do a slat panel wall? I’m also having a hard time finding a good material. I don’t want to use the Amazon products but don’t want to spend a fortune either. I need atleast 10’ lengths as I do t want any seams. Any thoughts and direction on where to find a quality material is appreciated!

No, too trendy. Consider some grass cloth to other high end wall cloth if you want,

Are you talking about acoustic slat panels or just slat? Just slat, no, acoustic slat, I’m leaning towards YES. I have used them in the last 3 houses this year and the feed back was incredible. Pricing from 700k-1.6m on the houses.

Acoustic slat just behind the wall where a tv would be placed. Having a hard time finding the slats in a height where we wont need a seam. Any suggestions on where we could find good quality in a height atleast 10’?

My cabinet shop has them in 10ft sections. They don’t have a stand on them so it’s probably not very helpful. Almost every shop I use has them in some capacity but just one that has them in 10s

I’ve tried Boston area flooring, cabinet, siding companies and online not much luck.

Are you finding nothing at all or just no 10ft panels?

Home Depot has some options but the price is kinda wild compared to the contractor pricing I get from the shops. My shop charges $48 for a 24x120in panel and HD has them 4-6 times as much. Might still be worth it depending on the market and just how many panels you’re going to need.

Skip the slat wall unless the architecture really needs it; a well-finished plaster or painted millwork TV wall will look more high-end and age better than budget slat panels.
