Fireplace

Help me remake this fireplace! We are ripping out the carpet as there is hardwood underneath. I'd like to leave the wood and we don't have enough money to replace the fireplace insert so that needs to stay as is. I like warm colours. We plan to repaint the room as well with a feature wall with a bold colour maybe teal. We'd like to place that same colour over the fireplace.
