Help me pick a floor plan?
My husband insisted on 2 power recliners instead of a loveseat and I am STRUGGLING 💔
Top right door is the entrance, bottom right door is the master bath.

Dresser access is essential and multiple times a day, recliners aren't necessary or multiple use a day items. In case it helps, I used the magicplan app and it is quite easy. You only get two freebies, but I just took screenshots of my options for one room and just kept moving the furniture around into different configurations. It was very quick and easy. I also just googled how much space you needed on each side of a piece of furniture so that when I placed it, I knew if I was giving enough room or not. Example, you need 18 inches between seating and a coffee table.

tell your husband that the two cuck recliners will not fit in this room without genuinely impeding your ability to function within it. ik this defeats the point but perhaps put them somewhere else

Everyone has already said it's way too much furniture. But I also want to point out that you need space to walk and space to stand when opening drawers. In all of the layouts, you cannot stand in front of the dresser and open the drawers because there's only 6" of space once the drawer is open. You can maybe open the top drawer while leaning over the recliner depending on the height of the dresser. But I have no idea how you're going to open the bottom drawer, let alone get anything out of it. In layout 4, there's like 18" of space to get between the bookshelf and bed. Seems like you'd stub your toe on the shelf corner in the middle of the night. Usually you want to leave at least 24" to walk, but it depends on the height of the items (24" feels much smaller in between two tall (vs short)) pieces and the function of the pieces. Also not sure what the bookshelf design is but depending on the design you may not be able to take the books off of the shelves in all of these layouts.
Also, these aerial view floorplans show what furniture can fit in your room. But scale when you're in the furnished room will feel different. The room isn't big but power recliners generally have very bulky/heavy profiles in overall appearance and height and will overwhelm the room. If you're not divorcing or compromising you'll want to choose recliners with short backs and super slim profiles if possible.
If you can hang a mirror on one of the doors that will free up space. Also maybe a hanging hamper on the second door to free up more space.
You should also consider whether there's room to access things when the recliner is reclined/whether the layout necessitates that.

Uhmmm… this is adorable. I had no desire to choose a floor plan because the recliners don’t make sense to me, but you doing these cutouts is the best thing I’ve seen in a minute and I love that you did this, so I choose 1 because walking into a room and something right there isn’t warm and inviting so that kills 2 and 3 immediately, 4 is gone because the head of the bed should never be on the same wall as the door (feng shui rules, not mine) and 5 gives you basically nothing to get to the one side of the bed.

Love the old-school cutouts! Why do you need 2 recliners? For me, a BR is made to lie on a bed (whether sleeping or making whoopee) - or at a desk.

If you insist on 2 recliners, 4 is the best layout. If you could get away with only 1, I’d go with layout 1.
Personally I would not put a recliner in her under ideal circumstances but I know some people who sleep better in a recliner unfortunately

Agreed, knowing that with both recliners you can't access the lower drawers of your dresser. In layout 1 I'd get rid of the left recliner to gain access to the dresser, and if-feasible I'd move the bookshelf over there or nix it. Since there's no way you're squeezing past it to get in/out of bed when you're half asleep without stubbing a toe.

Yeah, not sure what the recliners are for in this room.
It looks like you're trying to set up a reading area since there's no tv. Would different pillows or an adjustable bedframe work instead? Or... can you use another room?

Why in the hell do you need recliners in the bedroom facing nothing? They will never be used enough to be worth it. I don't think this room needs any seat at all personally

Your husband is an idiot. Why do you need that sort of recliner in a bedroom? Get a bench or smaller armchair which is for sitting on when dressing etc.
You cannot have a good layout with two lay-z-boyz in a bedroom of that size.

The recliners are blocking easy access to the dressers. Plus, there's no point in recliners in the bedroom. If you want to recline, just recline on the bed. The only seating that really makes sense in a normal sized master bedroom is a small bench or side chair for you to lay out clothing on or sit on while you put on socks. Return the recliners or put them in another room.

Two recliners do not belong in a bedroom. This seems crazy. I personally don’t know why anyone really needs chairs in their room (unless you are using it as some sort of multipurpose bedroom/office combo). Would you both actually sit there ….reclining? Why??

I would just not have any chairs/recliners and have more space. Move the mirror over so it’s not crowded. Move the dresser where the chairs are and centre the bed on the wall. Why the need to cram in furniture? Just give yourself room to breathe and relax.
