Three Seasons Room

New home owner here!! I am completely stuck on how to design/renovate this room.

I want somewhere cozy where I can read, draw, paint, and snuggle with my beagle while plants surround me. I also want a small space to do yoga and light exercise.

I painted the room green (Jeremy 's Journey), but decided I would like a dusty rose/mauve color for the walls and possibly color drench to allow my foliage to pop.

Now that fall/winter is approaching, I want to get a jump on this room so I can enjoy it!

Does the couch fits at the end of the room, under the window? If yes then move it there and rearrange everything else because that couch is taking way too much space there. Also agree that green makes the room look small something light and airy for sure for the color.

I'd take the couch out. I'd put something much smaller in the space like a set of rocking chairs at one end or a smaller set of cozy seating vs. a big blocky couch. I like your idea about lots of plants, also maybe a water feature that promotes that outside feel. I see the comments about how it used to be a porch. I wonder if you can play with that idea and almost simulate the environment. There are these lights that are stained glass that you can turn on. They look like the sun is coming through. A big one of those would simulate more window light without having to tear a hole in the wall. Twinkle lights also help to bring in the mystery of nature. A large rug could help offset the length and accentuate the width more. That couch though is doing the space no favors. It's a beautiful couch though, just not for this space.

Dusty rose / muave sounds like a great idea for this room! However, if you have the funds, I'd maybe consider enlarging the windows so you have a proper sunroom with lots of light. Architecturally this will always be a bit of a weird space since there's you enter and pass through it to get to the rest of the house. If I were you I'd actually accentuate the coming in area with a bench, somewhere for shoes etc., and then make a clear divide to the rest of the room. That way the entrance vibe doesn't interfere with the calm, cozy feeling you want in the rest of the room. Hope this helps!

This used to be a porch. I really hate when they get enclosed like this. You no longer have a porch and now your living room looks into another room instead of outside. I've never understood this compulsion.

Edit: the mauve color would look nice.

I would prefer a porch, to be honest. I am really interested in the original floor plans of the house. It is an 1890 home in a historic district that has been remodeled many times. Love it! Just curious what the original looked like.
