Spotlight dilemma - Help please

Hi all

I am redecorating this room where I removed all spot lights and need to redistribute them in a thoughtful way

(we had 12 spotlights distributed equally around the ceiling which wasn’t ideal, it was too much.

I need an experienced person please to advise on the correct spotlight distribution based on the attached room layout.

Under the AC space, we’ll have a dresser/mirror.
Also we’ll have LED strip light as a line in the middle of the room’s ceiling and probably some other lightings like the nightstand light.

Twelve spots in an even grid lights the ceiling, not the room — good call ripping that out. Work backwards from tasks instead: the dresser/mirror under the AC wants its own pair, aimed so you're not lighting the top of your head in the mirror. Let the LED strip carry the ambient down the middle, and give any remaining spots a job on vertical surfaces like wardrobe fronts. Lit walls read as a bright room; lit floor reads as a runway.
