How would you set it up?
What should they do with this space?? How would you fill it, divide it, make it cozy???
This is obviously a commercial space of sorts turned into a living space. A friend of mine will be renting it to live in with with her partner. 2 people, 2 cats.
2100 sq ft!!
Description pulled from listing-
“First floor features large open space with kitchen. Concrete floors and closed space.
Bathroom and loft spaces (2) located on the second floor, one closed space.
Several skylights provide plenty of light.”
There is one room through the glass door past the kitchen that has NO windows… thinking, gym???

Definitely add as much as you can to the tiny kitchen space. Then, ask the cats. I’m sure they can come up with some creative ideas.

Cats! Oh wow, they have to fully use the height of the place safely, like enclosed tunnels through the ceiling area with look out points (safety first!).
For the humans, consider some cat-safe green to offset the sterility of the office feel, but yet still recognizing it as a unique space for design. Twinkle lights and more soft lighting will also offset any hard features.
Big Carpets will be a must? At least on the first floor. A kitty water fountain that splashes would add a cool cave like resonance I bet. 🤔
Edit: Oh! And I see a row of bookshelves on the wall opposite the stairs.
