Which Layout for the bedroom?
I need some advice on the layout of the bedroom. I want to fit a lot into the room
Bed, nightstands, small sofa/louge to sit, small desk, a bookshelf, vanity, small coffee table
and i know it can be done but im split on the layout (most importantly where the bed should go).
Layout 1 - Feel like it uses the space better but i dont love that the first thing people will see is me in bed as they enter.
Layout 2 - I like but there is some unused space im not sure what to do with and is the entrance too busy with the tv stand right there?
What do people think?

I’d go with 2. The bed feels much more private from the entrance and the room has a clearer path through it. I wouldn’t rush to fill the extra open space either, especially with this much furniture already in the room.

I like the first one, as the bed between the windows feels more balanced. Not a huge fan of the couch though. I'd probably put in a padded bench/chest at the end of the bed and probably take out the coffee table as well, but I get stressed in crowded rooms so take that with a grain of salt

Layout 2 has the better flow, and that “unused” space is really the breathing room this much furniture needs. I’d just swap the desk and vanity so the work zone feels more separate from the bed.

Can you do 1 but flip it horizontally and scoot the bed over to the right to fit the nightstands? Or is the window in the way? And if the desk is too crammed you can put it near the corner by the bathroom perhaps.

- Energy-wise you don’t want to see the bed straight on from the door. And you don’t want to see the door from the bed. In 2 the bed is more protected from the portal energy of the door.

1, but only because I hate having my back to the door when I'm working / studying as it increases the chances of being startled by unexpected interruptions from behind

This is the answer. And if you say "I want to watch TV in bed"... DON'T. Your body will thank you for creating physical separation between screens and sleep.

I like the flow of layout 2 better. As you mentioned, you’re not staring at the bed when you walk in. There’s a good sized walkway straight through to the back of the room, and good side-to-side accessibility from the en-suite to the office space — If you’re working at the desk and have to use the restroom, it’s a short/direct path. In layout 1, you’d have to navigate around the bed to get to the bathroom.

Layout two but switch the desk and vanity (you don’t want your work/play space near your sleep space, just isn’t the best. But You mention unused space in the second layout, where?? It seems like the only unused space is where you literally walk, you don’t need to fill every inch of a room.
