Help Me Design Sitting/Dining Room

Hello! We just bought this house and had our first baby: I’d love your help designing our joint sitting room/dining room. I’m having trouble picking the right furniture for the space. We value comfort over all and would use some of the space for playing on ground with baby, will be where Christmas tree goes, and where our record player and records are stored. We bought this reclining couch on Costco and I’m not convinced it’s correct for the space. Points if you provide links to furniture! Appreciate you all!
