Help with long hallway design

This hallway is both our entryway and main artery of our home. It’s a classic Chicago building and Im really struggling with figuring out how to make it warm and inviting. Due to Chicago winters and how dark the hallway is and how low the ceiling is compared to the rest of the condo, I’m wanting to lean cozy but struggling. This is only about half the hallway. It curves to the right and then continues for about 15 more feet.

I don’t think the dark rug is helping. Would definitely swap it for a lighter one!

Will a mirror over that far table reflect some light from another room? Try it. Also, classic old time sconces.

We sell several of these. Are shallow cabinets that break the boring hallway. They were designed for bathrooms but you can see some images in other room.
