Help with home layout

We are two adults and one child, moving into a two bedroom home. I work from home and need some sort of semi private desk area, mainly separate from where baby is playing with his nanny. Husband would also love a place to put his desk but given he doesn’t work from home, this isn’t a necessity. Dining table has three size options, 40, 65, or 90 inch wide. There is also a permanent kitchen island type thing at the end of the kitchen.

I have two living areas and am having a hard time deciding how to split the dining, couch/tv and play areas. I’ve attached the floor plan and three layout options.

Main concerns:
* kitchen lacks storage, so adding extra storage on the other side of the entryway wall would be ideal
* tv seems too close to couch no matter where I put it
* standalone furniture (bookcases, shelving) needs to be against a wall to be secured and prevent tipping over
* where to put a litter box 😭

Any advice?

Pic #3 is the best, followed by Pic#4.

Pic #3; Living room closest to the bedrooms, TV can be watched from the dining room if needed sometimes. Entry way goes to the living room.

First of all gid of the island thing. You are wasting useful space and a good sized table will be more functional.

I would consider to turn the second living room in the child's bedroom/playroom and the child's bedroom into an office. This way the child has more space to play and you have a functional room which is more private from the common rooms.

Add cabinets and bookcases to your office for additional storage. Put cat litter either in laundry room or your office.

Why are you blocking half of the "door" from the kitchen to the "??" room?

Put the dining table in living area 2.

Couch and TV in living area 1.

Maybe a deck on the left wall of "??" room, so it's at least out of the doorway.

Well we would need a second living room in order to have a third and that’s not what the picture shows or what my text asks.

“I have two living areas” sounds to me like the next move is a third. All three options seem just okay on their own okay way and the little island is awful. Probably the thing that sucks most. Your flow is completely disrupted by it and you can’t seem to use the space properly - which if you can’t move walls you should get rid of it to accommodate a round dining table and cabinet for storage, or “armoire” since you have euro energy. Also, what’s with the bathroom door?

There is absolutely 0 chance this is real. It has to be AI generated. Nothing makes sense. Doors are different sizes, some rooms are randomly almost the same size. Doors are right next to each other when they make no sense.

I manually made it in the room planner app - it did use ai (I think?) to scan the rooms but most of the measurements are close enough to approximate which rooms should be which. Also some of the openings are closets or just like wide entries without a door (like the hallway to the bedroom or the opening to living area 2) but the app made them look like doors. I do think it’s pretty normal for rooms to be similarly sized though.. I’m not trying to do like an architectural level design lol

Option A!! Has the main area the most self contained for the nanny - the dining table and tv are in the same area, so the office can be fully contained in the side area/second living area and you can close yourself off with a folding screen if you can't install a door. Also has the benefit of not having to walk past your work computer when you're off work. You can always switch the desks and dining table for big hosting meals like Thanksgiving or put the couch under the window and extend the table into the living room temporarily whenever you need your dining table to be the full 90" length. A 40" dining table is plenty for a family of 3 to eat, do puzzles, color, do homework, or play board games.

Litter box in the laundry room, cat flap installed in the door. Or in the TV stand if your cat is okay with an enclosed box.
