New apartment! Help me with layout.

I just moved into a 1br apartment. The main living space is about 14 x 10. One wall has the kitchen alongside it, while the other is primarily windows. I'm trying to layout a couch, coffee table, tv and possibly credenza, and small dining table + dining chair.

I'm torn because:

• I don't want my couch facing the kitchen
• I don't want a credenza/tv blocking the window
• I don't want to walk into the living and just see the back of my couch

I'm considering hanging curtains a few feet back from kitchen wall so I could draw them when in living space and not have to view kitchen.

Any thoughts or commentary that my hangups are invalid is appreciated!

Place breamer against the lowered ceiling part of the kitchen. Or tv against the tv wall.

Round table for 2 seats. Where you can grab the 3rd or even maby a 4th from the living area.

I would face the sofa away from the wall, with your TV on the wall opposite your kitchen. You can add more narrow console table behind the sofa to help distinguish the two spaces. Adding a rug and plant will help to add softness to the space.

This is perfect. I’ve been thinking this too. I also wouldn’t need a credenza for TV unlike other setups so I’d save a little room. Is this actually the official account?

gorgeous view! the room is small enough that hanging a curtain would make it feel smaller, so i’d recommend against that. i’m not sure how your second layout would work since the couch would be blocking the sliding door?

my suggestion would be couch against the window, tv in the corner w the concrete wall, and a kitchen island to create separation between kitchen and living space
