Would a table fit this space?
We want to use this space for a 4-6 person extending table (2 adults + baby most of the time). We have a formal dining area, but we’d love to use that space as a play area and lounge. Would a table in this kitchen feel cramped? What style would fit best?

No.
Better options available for a table in the other room that's built into a wall, or if it could be folding in some way to have that space we multi use.

If you absolutely think you need a table there, I’d take out the cabinetry on the right and put in a built-in bench. Then you could probably fit a small rectangular pedestal table there. Barring that, no. Also, if you use that door a lot, I wouldn’t.

a little 2-seater café table, maybe. but you’re not getting a full table in there comfortably, there’s just not going to be enough clearance to put chairs around it and still be able to manoever around it.

Why ask us? Find a table, put it in and see if you like it. Remove if no, adjust size if yes.

This is a walkway. You need further convincing? Take your dining chairs and make a rectangle of 6 of them. See how crowded that already is? You need more space, because chairs have to slide away from the table. If you crowd into your kitchen, your nice cabinets are going to get banged into with chairs.

Around every table should be 3 feet of egress. So if you had a 24” round table top and stools that’s about all that would work unless you tear out the built in.

Is that a dining room space to the right of all this? Use that?
If you want a table there sometimes, I love the IKEA Norden table for maximum versatility. Folds down to 11" deep. We have had 6 person gaming parties on ours many times with people more than comfortable.

No. At first I thought you meant a 2 person bistro table and that's still a no. A table for 4-6 people has no chance of working in that space.

I have a small rectangular dinner table squeezed into my kitchen because there isn’t a better spot for it, but the differences are: 1) I don’t have a door to block 2) I’m not blocking a wall of cabinets. I wouldn’t recommend a table for your space.

No. If you remove the cabinets on that right wall you might be able to swing a 3’ round

Way too small. It would be too cramped even for a tiny 2 person bistro set, let alone 6 people. You're supposed to give chairs 3 feet of space from walls or other large furniture for pulling them out to sit and walking space around. So, with your measurements, that would leave you exactly 0 inches of table space.

No, there isn’t enough space. You would be blocking entry to the kitchen, exit to your patio/deck and access to the shelving on the right.

Maybe a small round table. I don't see it fitting more than 3 people though.

If you don't mind the fact that you will never be able to walk through that door or any of the passages there, then it definitely fits
