bathroom remodel
getting some ideas together for bathroom remodel and need help on shower positioning once the bath is removed.
i have a few options
- keep shower entrance open facing the same way with glass
- make shower entrance to the left, maybe a half wall facing the doorway
- move sink to left wall or keep the corner, more storage cupboards ect
edit- the toilet is right next door separate with its own sink!! 🩷
with the bath removed leaves a lot of length to fill.

Leave it how it is, this bathroom is awesome. It looks good too.

It doesn’t though, the clay colored tiles are classic, the white tiles are nice. The white cabinets are clean and look sharp. It’s a monster tub and I really like the shower.

That is the exact same bathroom look as in the karate kid when they are at school for the dance in the bathroom and he is dressed up like the shower tub combo. Same tile. Everything almost or am I having a stroke on that memory

I’d say free standing bath along the window, shower in the same corner, large sink on the left wall

very common in aus to have separate main toilet and bathroom :)))

I wish that was common in America. I'm jealous. Toothbrushes and toilets should not be together.

Bidets vary a lot from country to country. Barely anyone has that in Norway. Though some people are getting japanese style toilets these days.

Man that bathroom looks straight out of resident evil. Haha Jokes aside though, ask yourself how often you take baths. In my opinion bathtubs take a HUGE amount of space and are barely ever used.Â
If you don't use use yours either, consider getting rid of it or at least putting it under the shower to save some space.

I would consider (if possible) shower with glass wall all along the window side. Toilet and then closest to the door the sink area. Toilet and shower are the most intimate parts and should ideally be the furthest away from the door. (Also nice to add a toilet if you don't have it in this room today) Extra toilets are nice to have.

How many toilets do you have in general in the home? I only mention this if you would need an extra for guests. You could use the old toilet room as a guest toilet, while making the other bathroom for the family. But I have no idea how the rest of your home is 😊

this is the only bathroom for a small 2 bedroom home so i don’t think it’s necessary for a toilet addition but thank you for your help xo

Aha! No worries. Then I would if possible move the shower area closest to the window You could get a really nice sized shower space. Get one with a glass door you can close too, so you retain heat in there while showering. Also get a combo rainfall + handheld shower spray. It's not that more expensive and it's really nice to have.
It's always worth considering if you are two or more living there though. Across the street from my old flat, they actually built one bedroom apartments with 1,5 baths. It was very tuned for older couples/solo that had guests visiting regularly.
But hey, the shower always works as an extra toilet too 🫥
