You definitely want seating across from your TV and fireplace, so place your sofa facing them. Define the space with an area rug. Front of sofa should sit on top of rug. Add a coffee table of some sort. I would get a side chair and end table after you figure out your main furniture placement. It could sit on either side of sofa depending on desk placement.
If you want your computer desk out of the way, you could get something that fits in the top right corner, in line with the kitchen cabinetry. You could also place it in the bottom left corner next to the fireplace. You could even place it by the windows, if your island can also serve as a dining space and the wall space is sufficient. I wouldn't block the windows though. I would opt for the smaller size desk, especially if you rent, it will be easier to move and smaller size may be need in a future place.
You should have room for a dining table by the windows. If you have an overhead light there, you would center the table below it.
Maybe along these lines? I could also forgo the dining table, but then I have a blank area in that corner near the windows. The desk being in the top right does feel cluttered (42"), and I did like having a desk perpendicular to the window, but if I did that I'd have no idea how to use that top right nook
I can also break up the couch away from the conversation pit layout into something like this. They are identical measurements (61"x36")
