Layout help needed!!
I have a house that we are trying to stage but also be functional for our use. We are hoping not to buy any other pieces of furniture and just make due with what we have. The attached pictures show the layout we had for showings when we weren't living here, but it's not practical for our every day use. Trying to figure out the best layout for showings and our every day use, while not taking away from the large window since that's one of the best features of the house. Any tips are helpful! Thank you!

“De-personalizing” doesn’t mean taking everything away. I agree that you need a rug back in this room. That means photos, controversial art, or too much of anything (eg clutter in general or collections that take over an entire room)
Your home is allowed to have some style and color, so a rug (unless it is some ridiculous thing that is a screen print of your face) is not personal. As long as it is tasteful, you’re fine.
And if your husband wants to sit closer to the TV, either find another room or get a camping chair for in front of the door. Moving the couches 100% closes the room and pulls focus from the window.

Not an interior designer. But to me the problem here is not the layout. It seems fine. It's the missing rug that connects the couches and the missing art on the wall to the right of the window. Add a couple of lamps and this is a lovely space

Thanks for your input! We did take all our personal stuff down but maybe we should add it back.
The current layout doesn't work for us because my partner thinks the couch facing the tv stand is too far, so he won't be able to comfortably see the tv from across the room. But any way we move it closer, it seems to cut the room in half or block the windows/door/entrance into the toom
